SALEM - In the first-ever "Soccer Under the Lights" game, junior midfielder Caleb Louvier scored the game-winning goal eight minutes into overtime on an assist from freshman goalkeeper Aaron Franklin en route to lifting Corban's men's soccer team to a 3-2 victory over Cascade on Thursday.

For the second game in a row, the Warriors were playing under the lights and Corban fell behind earlier thanks to a goal by Cascade's Mark Towers (assisted by Gerardo Cifuentes) in the 12th minute.

Trailing by a goal, senior forward Scott Marshall knotted the game at 1-all when he scored an unassisted goal in the 33rd minute from 20 yards out.

With six seconds remaining in the opening half, junior midfielder Quinn Neely-Gallagher put the Warriors up by a goal when he headed in a bouncing ball via a throw-in from the far sideline.

Coming out of halftime, Corban controlled the offensive flow of the game, but Cascade was awarded a penalty kick in the 80th minute when senior defender James Young was given a yellow card. Cascade's Efrain Vargas stepped up to take the penalty kick from 12 yards out, but Franklin was up to the task, as he stopped the initial shot only to have the rebounded knocked home by Vargas.

Playing their second overtime game in a week, Corban laid everything that they had on the field and it showed. Despite being out-shot 4-3 in the extra period, the home team needed only one shot to end the game.

Following a shot on goal by the visiting Thunderbirds, Franklin set up the goal kick and with one swift kick sent the ball down field to an awaiting Louvier, who beat two defenders, slid the ball underneath Cascade's diving goalkeeper, and walked the ball into a wide-open net for the game-winnner. In a forty-eight hour period, Louvier has tallied four goals, including a hat trick and game-winner.

Franklin recorded 5 saves compared to Cascade's Nic Martinez's game-high 8 saves.

Corban extends its unbeaten streak to four games and is now 3-2-1 overall, 1-0-0 in Cascade Collegiate Conference play. Cascade has its season-opening four game winning streak snapped and is now 4-1-0 overall, 1-0-0 in CCC play.
