Wolves, Wildcats go Scoreless in Overtime

The Wolves will return home to host Simon Fraser in a non-conference match on Friday (3:00 PM), and will then travel to Seattle to take on the Redhawks on Sunday (1:00 PM)

ELLENSBURG, Wash - Central Washington and Western Oregon played 110 minutes without a goal, settling for a 0-0 overtime tie in a Great Northwest Athletic Conference women’s soccer match on Wednesday afternoon.

The outcome moved WOU’s record to 4-3-2 on the season and 0-2-1 in GNAC play. Central Washington is now 4-4-1 overall and is also 0-2-1 in conference action.

The match was Western’s third overtime outcome in nine outings this season. They now have two ties, and they also defeated Albertson two weeks ago in the sudden death format.

CWU outshot the Wolves 23-8, including 5-2 on goal, and they had three solid opportunities to score in the extra periods, but didn’t. WOU goalie Ally Meyer had five saves in securing her fourth shutout of the year.
