ARCATA, Calif. - Western Oregon's Lisa Munyon flicked a header into the goal less than two minutes into the match, giving the Wolves a 1-0 women's soccer victory over host Humboldt State on Sunday afternoon at the HSU soccer field.

The victory gives the Wolves back-to-back shutouts and also afforded them their first victory of the season (1-1-1).

WOU also shut down No. 25 ranked Chico State on Friday night during a 0-0 deadlock.

Munyon's game winner came off a cross from Kristin Werhane that snuck past Lumberjack goalie Staci Self.

The non-conference loss for former Great Northwest Athletic Conference member HSU was the 'Jacks first of the season, causing them to drop to 3-1 on the season.

Humboldt State had 15 shots and two penalty kick opportunities, but still couldn't find the back of the net.

WOU's Ally Meyer posted her second consecutive shutout and she had four saves on the day. One of those saves was on a penalty kick, while the second penalty kick banged hard off the crossbar.

Of HSU's 15 shots, only four were on goal. WOU had three shots in the game, two of them on goal.
