Oregon Prepares to Just Say NO! to GMO

GMOs have been injected into everything from baby formula to our dairy, and even our meat.
(NEWPORT, OR) -
Health conscious Oregonians are mounting a campaign to demand that GMO foods be labeled as such. The group behind this effort has a web site http://oregonrighttoknow.org.
They have one month to gather enough signatures to place this issue on the state-side ballot in November.

Experts have noted that spring runoff forecasts for the Rio Grande into New Mexico’s Elephant Butte Reservoir are only 21 percent of normal flows.

The biotech industry has had to use corruption and threats to keep secret what they continue to claim is safe and "substantially equivalent" to normal food.

Vermonters was slammed by the biotech industry twice this month.
They were hit the first time when 90% of the population wanted GMOs in their food labeled but the governor would not sign a bill requiring this because the biotech giant Monsanto threatened to sue the state.

Officials in the self-declared republic of Somaliland are appealing for food aid and potable water for thousands of families who have lost their livelihoods in the current drought.
“You can see from far children running to the road waving empty bottles asking you for water and bread or biscuits,” Hussein Muhumed Hog, Somaliland's health minister, told IRIN.
