Mississippi Amber Alert Issued for Three Tennessee Girls (UPDATE)

The suspect is Adam Mayes, a white male, 35 years old with brown hair and blue eyes, 6' 3" tall and weighs 175 pounds.

(WHITEVILLE, TN.) - The State of Mississippi issued the Amber Alert Sunday (05-06) after information obtained during the investigation indicated the suspect had been seen in Mississippi earlier in the week.

Tennessee issued an Amber Alert late Friday after determining that the children, and their mother, who was also abducted, were in danger.

The boy was located at his home by Mason County police.

(GLENDALE, Ariz.) - A grandmother in Arizona says that the reason her grandchild hasn't gotten attention for her disappearance is because she is African American.

The girl has been missing for a week, and she has been begging the media to cover her child's disappearance. Jahessye Shockley was last seen on October 11 and disappeared while her mother was out running an errand.

The Amber Alert has Become a Government Money Tool

I suggest we reinvent this idea.

(SALEM, Ore.) - I've known for some time that I needed to express my accumulation of not-so-positive thoughts on the Amber Alert system and the horrific joke is has become in our society.

One after another, almost every single time with few exceptions, these alerts are issued only when one or more of the parties are tied to public welfare support. In other words, the system isn't about reclaiming kids, it is about being sure deadbeat parents are arrested because the respective state governments have money on the line.

AMBER Alert Canceled for Missing 4-Year Old in Chehalis

(CHEHALIS, Wash.) - Officials in Washington have canceled an AMBER Alert for an abducted child in Chehalis, WA Lewis County.

Washington State Police in Vancouver were looking for a child who was last seen at 1251 NW Chehalis Ave. in Chehalis, WA and was believed to be in danger. The child was a 4-year old white male.

Amber Alert Issued for 4-Year Old California Boy

Anyone with information is asked to call the Stanislaus County Sheriff's Department.

(PATTERSON, Calif.) - The State of California issued an Amber Alert late Tuesday (01-18) after the suspect abducted the boy in Patterson. The suspect is believed to be driving to the San Jose area.

Juliani Cardenas, an Hispanic male, 4 years old, 3' 6", 40 pounds with brown eyes and black hair. He was last seen wearing dark pants and a light blue shirt.

Search Continues for Missing Redding Teen

(REDDING, Calif.) - Friends of the family of missing 15-year old Jean Marie Berlinghoff in Redding, California, contacted Salem-News.com asking for our help in getting the word out about the search for this teenager who has been missing for 19 days.

Jean Marie Berlinghoff is with her uncle, a 44-year old man with a criminal record. Law enforcement agencies actively involved in the search considered her endangered.

Amber Alert Canceled for 10 Year Old North Carolina Girl

(HICKORY, N.C.) - Hickory Police, N.C. Police investigators say they are working several leads that specifically address missing girl Zahra Clare Baker's life before she disappeared.

Investigators will interview her former teachers at schools in Caldwell County, NC. The family also lived at several different addresses recently, and investigators will interview those neighbors who may have known the family and Zahra.

AMBER Alert Activated Over Reported Child Abduction in Spokane

Authorities say that the children may be in the company of Chad Phillips, a 33-year old white male, who may be traveling in a 1996 Dark Green Chevrolet Monte Carlo vehicle.

(SPOKANE, Wash.) - The AMBER Alert System has been activated for a missing children's case out of Spokane, Washington.

Washington State Patrol reports that they are looking for children who were last seen at W 1100 Mallon in Spokane, Wash. They believe these children are in danger.
