Salem Art Association May Exhibitions

Watercolor Society of Oregon | May 9-June 27

(SALEM) - Salem Art Association SAA’s Community Arts Education program (CAE) provides arts programming built in collaboration with community partners to support a broad range of arts activities in the community and seeks to provide dynamic art projects that address specific needs in Marion, Polk and Yamhill Counties.

CAE engages over 12,000 students, administrators, teachers and parents each year through the School Arts program which includes Artists in the Schools (AIS), Family Arts Nights, Museum Residencies and the High School Internship program.

Art Auction, Talent Show to benefit the South Salem High School Gay Straight Alliance

All proceeds go the joint benefit of the South Salem High School Gay Straight Alliance Club and The Cascade Aids Project.

(SALEM) - South Salem High School Gay Straight Alliance Club The Art of Equality, a silent auction and talent showcase, will be held from 6-8 PM on Saturday, March 22, at the First Congregational United Church of Christ, 700 Marion St NE Salem.

The initial hour of the event will consist of a social hour and silent art auction, where free refreshments will be served. The second is a talent showcase featuring many talented musicians.

Graphic Designer Launches Kickstarter Art Campaign

Ruiz Jr. has been enjoying his exploration of this fun and creative outlet as he has not yet discovered any other artists pursuing this form of art.

(SALEM) - Art of Freddy Ruiz Jr. in Salem, Oregon Freddy Ruiz Jr. is challenging himself to raise $2,000 in 30 days. This is an effort to complete and promote an art show called “20 Pieces/20 Weeks.”

If the project is successfully funded, Ruiz Jr. will create one art door using vinyl decals every week for 20 weeks. At the end of the 20 weeks there will be an art show in Portland, Salem, and Eugene. The Kickstarter art campaign is scheduled to launch February 8, 2014, at Franklin’s Bottle Shop.
