Elderly Woman Rescued After Several Hours Down Embankment in Crashed Car South of Ashland

Preliminary investigation indicates the woman intentionally drove off the highway during the night and she was inside the car for several hours before the ODOT employee spotted her.

(ASHLAND) - Car crash near Ashland, Oregon 3-17-14 A 71-year old Talent-area woman was rescued Tuesday morning by firefighters after her car was found severa l hundred feet down a steep embankment off Old Highway 99 (Old Siskiyou Highway) east of Interstate 5 south of Ashland.

According to Sergeant Jeff Allison, on March 18, 2014 at approximately 8:46 a.m., Oregon State Police (OSP) and firefighters from Ashland and Jackson County responded to a report that an ODOT employee spotted the wreckage of a 2000 Mazda Protege down a steep embankment off Old Highway 99 near the exit to Mt. Ashland ski area.

Victim Identified - Fatal Traffic Crash - Interstate 5 near Phoenix

(Phoenix, Oregon) - crash scene I5 April 29th 2011 Oregon State Police (OSP) troopers are continuing the investigation into a Friday afternoon two-vehicle fatal traffic crash in the southbound lanes of Interstate 5 near Phoenix. The crash resulted in the death of a Ashland-area man and minor injuries to two other people. The victim's name is being released following confirmation of next of kin notification.

Big First Half Leads Raiders To Victory

(Ashland, Oregon) - Salem-News.com Sports The Southern Oregon women shot 55 percent from the field in the first half and cruised to an 81-64 victory over William Jessup tonight at McNeal Pavilion.

Southern Oregon improved to 5-4 on the season and opens Cascade Conference play Friday at Concordia. William Jessup dropped to 0-8 on the season.

(VANCOUVER, Wash.) - Concordia University Athletics Southern Oregon posted the Cascade Collegiate Conference’s highest finish at the 2010 NAIA Cross Country National Championships with a seventh place showing, as Eastern Oregon’s Karlee Coffey finished second overall with a career-best time of 17:46 Saturday at Fort Vancouver National Historic Site.

Qualifiers Announced for NAIA Cross Country National Championships at Fort Vancouver

Seven CCC Teams, Led by No. 1 Southern Oregon Men and No. 7 Concordia Women, Included in Field

(KANSAS CITY, Mo.) - Cascade Collegiate Conference The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) released the team and individual qualifiers for the 2010 NAIA Men’s and Women’s Cross Country National Championships on Monday. The 55th Annual Men’s and 31st Annual Women’s event will take place at the Fort Vancouver National Historic Site in Vancouver, Washington, on Saturday, Nov. 20. The women’s 5K run is scheduled for 10:30 a.m. PST, followed by the men’s 8K at 11:45 a.m.

Admission to the championships is free. The event is being co-hosted by the Cascade Collegiate Conference and Concordia University (Oregon).

(Portland, Oregon) - Cascade Collegiate Conference For the second straight year, the Southern Oregon men’s cross country team will take a national No. 1 ranking into the NAIA Cross Country National Championships.

The national championships, co-hosted by the Cascade Collegiate Conference and Concordia University (Oregon), will be held Saturday, November 20 at the Fort Vancouver National Historic Site in Vancouver, Wash. The women’s 5K race is at 10:30 a.m., and will be followed by the men’s 8K race at 11:45 a.m. Admission is free.

McDonough Lifts Corban to Win in CCC Semis

(SALEM, Oregon) - Corban Warriors Freshman Tera McDonough (Boise, Idaho) scored the game's only goal as Corban's women's soccer team held on to defeat Southern Oregon, 1-0, Saturday on Warrior Field to advance to the Cascade Collegiate Conference Tournament Finals.

After being awarded a home playoff match following the conclusion of the CCC regular season, Corban felt the full force of a Raider team looking to avenge an overtime loss earlier in the regular season.
