Michael Bloomberg Enters CA Prop. 29 (Cigarette Tax) Money Race with a $500K Contribution

The nonpartisan MapLight Voter Guide was made possible in part by a grant from the James Irvine Foundation.

(BERKELEY, CA) - Michael Bloomberg A MapLight analysis of campaign contribution data from the California Secretary of State shows that a recent contribution of $500K from New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg raises the total for committees supporting California's Proposition 29 (Cigarette Tax) to $8.5 million.

Committees opposing California's Proposition 29 have raised nearly $40 million.

Toni Eggebraaten, the attorney for the Family Trust for which I am a beneficiary, filed an accounting in which she attempted to obscure her embezzling thirty thousand dollars.

Radiation at El Toro Hangar Unresolved

Marines who worked in the north mezzanine of Hangar 296 were at risk of exposure to Radium 226 and its radioactive decay products.

(IRVINE, CA) - El Toro Hangar 296 An old WW II hangar over 200,000 square feet in area at former MCAS El Toro will not be on any tourist list now and maybe for years to come.

Hangar 296 is one of the primary sites of the TCE plume spreading into Orange County and reason for the base’s placement on the National Priority List (NPL), commonly referred to as the EPA Superfund.
