(NEW PHOTOS) Sheriff`s Office Seeks Tips in Jan 27 Kidnapping/Assault Case

At some point while the suspect was driving, the victim managed to escape the moving vehicle. She sustained additional injuries during the escape.

(CLACKAMAS) - Photos from Clackamas Co. Sheriff's Office Clackamas County Sheriff's Office detectives are investigating an aggressive kidnapping case that occurred in unincorporated Milwaukie on Monday, Jan. 27. The victim is safe in an area hospital.

The suspect -- an adult male around age 50, with gray hair, wire-rimmed glasses and a goatee or beard, wearing a dark navy-blue hooded jacket and driving a purple-colored minivan -- is still at large. Police are requesting the public's help to identify him.

Police Officer Rescues Dog Trapped for 5 Days

The area was very rocky, and Sampson was trapped in the rocks, unable to get out on its own. It appears the dog had been trapped down there for several days.

(CLACKAMAS) - Rescued dog named Sampson Earlier today, Damascus Police Officer Jerry Rippe rescued a trapped dog named Sampson -- a 5-year-old lab mix -- near Carver.

Greg Herbst, Sampson's owner, said the dog had gone missing on New Year's Day. Herbst had been looking for Sampson daily around the property of his home. Flyers were created and a post on Facebook was made to alert others about the missing dog.

CLACKAMAS: Stabbing Victim Taken by Lifeflight

The victim of the stabbing, 33-year old Matthew Savage of Beavercreek, Oregon, was known by the suspect. He was taken by LifeFlight to an area hospital.

(CLACKAMAS, OR) - Tara Axmaker Deputies from the Clackamas County Sheriff's Office were called out over a reported stabbing this morning at about 1:00 a.m., in the 16800 block of South Howards Mill Road.

Several minutes later, another arriving deputy noticed a patrol car driving away from the location at a high rate of speed with no lights on.

The Clackamas County Sheriff's office has released the names of the two individuals killed in this attack.
