“I’m like, OK. I’m thinking it’s just fake,” - Anna Lamb-Creasey

(ATLANTA) - Ricky Lamb Anna Lamb-Creasey had no idea what happened to her son, Ricky Lamb, who had been missing since January 25th. She contacted hospitals and police departments, all to no avail, or at least that’s what she thought.

The grieving mother says Clayton County police in Georgia used a feature which she wasn’t aware of to inform her of her son’s death.

Georgia, a traditionally racist U.S. state that carried the emblem of the slave-owning Confederacy on its flag until 2001, kills a man whose conviction had big question marks, but he was Black and now Troy Davis is dead.

(ATLANTA) - Georgia flag We reported earlier this evening that the execution of Troy Davis in Georgia was to be temporarily delayed, just five minutes before being killed by state officials.

Now we know that officials in Georgia went ahead anyway, after the U.S. Supreme Court denied a last minute stay of execution.

Troy Davis Execution Delayed - Then Carried Out

The state of Georgia killed Troy Davis.

(ATLANTA) - A preserved cell on death row Officials have delayed the execution of Troy Davis in Georgia after intense public pressure. He was within five minutes of losing his life. It is only a temporary reprieve, but that does not necessarily diminish the impact.

Davis, charged and convicted for the 1989 shooting death of a police officer, he has maintained his innocence for 21 years. Supporters of Davis are widespread and watching the developments closely.

Troy Davis was convicted of murdering a Georgia police officer in 1991. Nearly two decades later, Davis remains on death row — even though the case against him has fallen apart.
