Detectives Attempting to Locate Shooting Suspect Dennis J. Knight

Investigators are seeking information on Knight's current whereabouts.

(SALEM) - 33-year old Dennis James Knight of Grand Ronde is believed to frequent both Salem and Grand Ronde. Marion County Sheriff's Detectives are seeking the public's assistance in locating a man who has been identified as one of two suspects involved in a home invasion shooting that occurred in Salem on January 28th.

The suspect, Dennis James Knight, 33, of Grand Ronde is believed to frequent both Salem and Grand Ronde. Knight is 6-4 tall, weighs 240 pounds and has brown hair.

Police Arrest 57-Year Old Man for Sexually Abusing 14-Year Old Boy

(SALEM, Ore.) - Sex abuse suspect 57-year old Donald Wayne Friedrichs of Grand Ronde, Oregon Salem Police say 57-year old Donald Wayne Friedrichs of Grand Ronde, was arrested last Friday morning by Salem Police for luring a 14-year old autistic boy away from the parking lot of Petsmart, at 2925 Lancaster Drive NE last Tuesday evening.

Friedrichs allegedly took the boy out into a nearby field where he sexually molested him that night. The boy was found walking the next evening, July 15th, in the area of Silverton Road and Fisher Road.

Man Dies in Late Afternoon Crash Near Dallas (PHOTOS)

The fatal traffic crash happened on Highway 223, between Dallas and Highway 22.‏

(DALLAS, Ore.) - Fatal crash Oregon State Police say a Dallas-area man died and three other people were seriously injured Wednesday afternoon in a two-vehicle crash on Highway 223 about one-half mile south of Highway 22.

Oregon State Police troopers are continuing the investigation and Highway 223 re-opened about five hours after the crash.

OSP Sergeant Derek Bischoff says the crash happened at approximately 4:20 PM, when a 1994 Eagle Vision four-door driven by 53-year old Domenic Fagundes of Grand Ronde, was southbound on Highway 223 near Fir Villa Road when it crossed the centerline and collided nearly head-on with a northbound 2001 Toyota Corolla driven by 27-year old Adam Raymond Schott of Dallas.

Now the casino is building a $40-million dollar facility behind the casino.

The new building will include a convention center that can also double as a concert hall.

Witnesses reported that prior to the traffic crash, the 1989 Buick struck a lamp post in the Spirit Mountain Casino parking lot.

(GRAND RONDE) - Crash scene One person died and five people received serious injuries Monday evening after a two-vehicle head-on crash on Highway 18 about four miles east of the Spirit Mountain casino.

This is the second crash at this location in the past two days involving an intoxicated driver crossing over and striking a vehicle in the oncoming lane, seriously injuring the other drivers and passengers.

Oregon Highway 18 to Re-Open Without Restrictions Thursday Night

As of Thursday morning, ODOT had approximately two dozen more log truck loads of timber to move from the area, about four miles west of Grand Ronde.

(GRAND RONDE) - The Oregon Department of Transportation plans to reopen both lanes of Highway 18 without restriction after nightfall Thursday night.

ODOT has been allowing alternating two-way traffic controlled by flaggers and a pilot car since Tuesday night, while crews worked to remove more than 100 trees knocked down by strong winds early Monday.

In all, ODOT estimates a total of 80 log truck loads of fallen timber will be transferred from the highway to a location in Willamina.

Slide Repair to Close One Lane of OR22 Near Valley Junction.

(GRAND RONDE) - traffic control be aware logo Oregon Department of Transportation maintenance crews will close one lane of Highway 22, the Hebo Highway, just west of Valley Junction beginning at 8:00 AM Monday, June 5th, to repair landslide damage.

The work area is at milepost 17.2 on Highway 22, about 9 miles west of Valley Junction. Repairs will take place from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday through Thursday, June 8th.

Flaggers will control traffic through the work area during the four-day repair job.

Motorists should expect delays of 5 minutes or less. However, delays could last up to 15 minutes toward the end of the project when workers dig out the highway to replace a damaged culvert.
