(HOUSTON) - In 1998, Hurricane Mitch ravaged Honduras and Nicaragua and resulted in the loss and displacement of hundreds of thousands of families who established roots in the U.S. under Temporary Protected Status (TPS).

Community organizations have formed a coalition and are launching a campaign to promote Permanent Residency for TPS beneficiaries from Central America.
