Hindus Urge EU to Ensure Safety of Hungarian Roma in View of Chilling Harvard Report

Rajan Zed stressed that mechanisms should be urgently developed to protect the vulnerable Roma and racist narrative like “Gypsy crime” should be banned.

(RENO) - Roma in Hungary Hindus are concerned for the safety of Roma (Gypsies) in Hungary after a Harvard University report indicated “need for measures to ensure the physical and psychological safety of the Roma and other minority groups”.

Experts say that “warning signs exist”.

Hindus Term Canada Billboards in Hungary Targeting Roma as Racist

It is unfortunate that Canada spends taxpayer’s money on a campaign also reportedly including newspapers, radio-spots, and bus-shelter notice.

(RENO) - Billboards in Canada targeting Gypsys Hindus have termed Canadian government billboards in Hungary targeting Roma (Gypsy) asylum-seekers as highly inappropriate and blatant racism.

Distinguished Hindu statesman Rajan Zed, said that this unprecedented billboard, with such an unwelcoming tone was prejudiced, intolerant and racist.

USCIRF Alarmed by Anti-Semitic Remarks in Hungary

(WASHINGTON DC) - Marton Gyongyosi Marton Gyongyosi, a Hungarian politician from the far-right Jobbik party, has issued a statement urging the government to create a list of Jews who pose a “national security risk.”

Gyongyosi serves as the leader of Jobbik, which is the third largest party in the Hungarian parliament with 44 of the 386 seats.

Hindus Laud Hungary for Selecting Gypsy Maltreatment Film for Oscars

Roma in Hungary, whose estimated numbers sometimes reach around one million, form about ten percent of total Hungary populace.

(RENO,NV) - Csak a szél - 'Just the Wind' Hindus have applauded Hungary for selecting “Csak a szél (Just The Wind)”, a disturbing film about Roma (Gypsy) killings, as country’s entry in Foreign Language Film category of next Academy Awards.

Distinguished Hindu statesman Rajan Zed, in a statement in Nevada (USA) today, said that it was a “step in the right direction” for Hungary to nominate a film which highlighted her dark side of continuous Roma maltreatment.

Student Exchange Organization Seeks Salem Families

STS Foundation, a non profit student exchange organization, is proud to help facilitate these relationships. They have been doing so for more than 20 years and look forward to finding new host families in Salem and connecting them with exchange students.

(SALEM, Ore.) - Foreign exchange students from the STS Foundation. International high school exchange students are coming to study in the Salem area during the 2010-11 school year.

These students will integrate themselves into a Salem area family with the goal of experiencing American culture as an American high school student does. In turn they will provide insight into their own culture.
