Marion County Deputy Arnsmeier Charged With Misconduct

The Deputy had been placed on administrative leave in December.

(SALEM, Ore.) - marion county sheriff's office The Marion County District Attorney's Office is filing charges of Official Misconduct against a Marion County Deputy Sheriff.

Specifically, the complaint alleges five counts of Official Misconduct in the First Degree, five counts of Official Misconduct in the Second Degree, and one count of Theft in the third degree. The charges stem from 4 separate incidents.

Appeal of Amanda Knox and Raffaele Sollecito

The couple is appealing their convictions of Meredith Kercher's murder.

(PERUGIA, Italy) - Amanda Knox Amanda Knox and Raffaele Sollecito will appeal their convictions for the Nov.1, 2007 murder of British student Meredith Kercher, on Nov. 24, 2010. They are serving 26 and 25 years prison terms, respectively.

This appeal in Perugia, Italy, could take only five days or run for several months, depending upon whether the judge approves defense requests for further testing.

Dundee Murder Suspect Arrested in Oregon City

The man hunt is over: Jonathan Williams was arrested for the murder of Timothy Long.

(SALEM, Ore.) - Jonathan Williams Monday about 5:00 p.m., the Clackamas County Sheriffs Office responded to 15715 S. Hattan Road, Oregon City based on information received from the Newberg Police concerning Jonathan Williams, a Murder Suspect from their jurisdiction.

At 4:30 a.m. Saturday, neighbors in Dundee heard several gunshots and notified police. After searching for an hour, 30-year old Timothy Craig Long's body in a nearby driveway.

Dutchman Van der Sloot Confesses to Slaying in Lima

The suspect is apparently "coming clean" in this case.

(SALEM, Ore.) - Van der Sloot Monday, a high-ranking Peruvian government official told NBC News that Joran van der Sloot confessed to the slaying of a 21-year-old woman in a Lima hotel room.

La Republica newspaper reported that Van der Sloot said he broke Stephany Flores' neck after she grabbed his laptop without his permission; she apparently discovered that he was involved in the disappearance of an American woman, Natalie Holloway.
