(AUBURN, CA) - Sergeant First Class Joseph Gantt was born in Maryland in 1924 and joined the Army in 1942. He served with distinction in the South Pacific during WWII and then fought in Korea where he went missing in action.

A new film, ³A Solemn Promise, America¹s Missing in Action², (in pre-production) will chronicle stories just like just like SFC Gantt¹s.

(LOS ANGELES) - Army Sergeant First Class Joseph Gantt, whose remains were returned to his wife and family 63 years after the former POW was captured during the Korean War, will be laid to rest with full military honors on Saturday, December 28, 2013.

SFC Gantt was born in Maryland in 1924 and joined the Army in 1942. He served with distinction in the South Pacific during WWII. He met his wife, formerly Clara Edwards, on a train from Texas to Los Angeles in 1946 and married in June 1948.

(WASHINGTON DC) - The Department of Defense unit charged with recovering servicemembers’ remains abroad has been holding phony “arrival ceremonies” for seven years, with an honor guard carrying flag-draped coffins off of a cargo plane as though they held the remains returning that day from old battlefields.

The Pentagon acknowledged Wednesday that no honored dead were in fact arriving, and that the planes used in the ceremonies often couldn’t even fly, and were towed into position.

(Washington, D.C.) - The State Department announced that the President’s Special Envoy for North Korean Human Rights Issues, Ambassador Robert King, will add a stop in North Korea to his current travels in the region.

He says they remain deeply concerned about Kenneth Bae, the American citizen currently detained in North Korea.

Sgt. Reckless was recognized as a national hero in 1954 for her service in the Korean War and went on to be awarded two Purple Hearts. She was a Marine, but a unique one at that. She was a Mongolian mare that earned the rank of staff sergeant...

Asiana Airlines Boeing 777 Crashes at San Francisco Airport

The plane, reportedly a Boeing 777, was coming from South Korea, according to flight tracking information.

(SAN FRANCISCO) - A plane crashed while landing at San Francisco International Airport Saturday morning after its tail came off while it was touching down on the runway.

According to a witness, around 11:20 a.m. the plane was just about to land -- its landing gear had come down -- when the tail of the plane came off. After wobbling for a minute, the aircraft flipped upside down, coming to a stop on runway on it's back.
