Oregon's premiere newspaper, The Oregonian, up till this Sunday edition, has been vilifying marijuana and all of its aspects for about twelve years. This, in spite of the fact that it has been known as a highly safe, highly effective medicine for about four thousand years- and there are currently some 55,000 medical patients in Oregon.
For years, all of us advocates have been asking whoever we could ask for some sort of legislation which would take marijuana out of the grasp of the Mexican marijuana cartels.

Springfield Man Arrested For Causing Injury Motorcycle Crash on Hwy 126W

A ill-mannered driver nearly costs a biker his life.
(EUGENE, Ore.) -
Today, Oregon State Police arrested the driver of a vehicle that caused a motorcyclist to lose control and crash along Highway 126W west of Veneta early Sunday evening.
66-year old Valentin Camarillo, from Roseburg, was riding his 1997 Harley Davidson motorcycle eastbound in a group of four motorcycles when a vehicle came up from behind them.

During the Israeli attack of 2009, the recreation center used by the CampsBreakerz breakdancing group in the Gaza Strip was destroyed.
That didn't stop them, however; they have been practicing ever since in a cramped extra room owned by a relative in the Nuseirat Refugee Camp. But now, they want to expand. The CampsBreakerz reputation has grown in the past three years, and more youth than ever before want to learn the art of breakdancing and be part of a team.

ODOT Issues Notice of Default to Design Builder on US 20

The Pioneer Mountain to Eddyville Project has been stalled since 2010
(CORVALLIS, OR.) -
The Pioneer Mountain/Eddyville Project is creating a straighter 5.5 mile segment of U.S. 20 between Corvallis and Newport to replace the narrow, twisting 10 mile segment.
The Oregon Department of Transportation is issuing Notice of Default to Yaquina River Constructors (Granite Construction Company). They have 10 days to correct the default to ODOT’s satisfaction.
