Red Cross Volunteers Help 3-Adults Affected by a House Fire

(Salem, Oregon) - Red Cross Flag Volunteers with the American Red Cross responded to a single family house fire Saturday morning, April 23rd, in the 1800 block of 31st avenue NE, in Salem. The house sustained fire and smoke damage and no injuries were reported. A pet cat perished in the fire.

The Red Cross assisted the three adults with lodging, food, clothing and emotional support.

A pet dog sustained burns in the fire.

(Salem, Oregon) - Red Cross Flag Volunteers with the American Red Cross responded to a single family house fire Tuesday afternoon, in the 4300 block of Sunnyview Road NE, in Salem.

The house sustained major damage and no injuries were reported. A pet dog sustained burns in the fire. The Red Cross assisted two adults with shelter, food, clothing and emotional support.

(Stayton, Oregon) - Red Cross Volunteers with the American Red Cross responded to a house fire Monday evening, November 22nd, in the 18000 block of Old Mehama Road in Stayton.

The fire was reported at approximately 5:30pm. All tenants were able to escape the fire that destroyed the 2-story residence. One resident was treated and released for smoke inhalation.

Rivals For Life - OSU Beavers In The Lead

(PORTLAND, Ore.) - Civil War Blood Drive Logo University of Oregon Ducks and Oregon State University Beavers are out for blood. The "Rivals for Life" competition is not just about football, it is about donating blood to help save lives.

The current tally shows the OSU Beavers leading with 2,688 ballots cast and the UO Ducks have a total of 2,241 votes. Last year, the Beavers triumphed and won the Civil War Blood Drive trophy by 1,196 ballots. There is still time to vote, Duck and Beaver fans have until November 20, to donate blood and cast a ballot for their favorite team.

The fire was reported at approximately 11:30Pm last nigth. All tenants were able to escape the fire and no injuries were reported Red Cross volunteers provided 5-adults and 4-children with shelter, food, clothing and emotional support.

(PORTLAND, Ore.) - Image from Haiti The American Red Cross is sending money, supplies and staff to Haiti to support relief efforts there after yesterday's earthquake, which caused catastrophic damage and loss of life.

According to reports, as many as three million people may have been affected by the quake, which collapsed government buildings and caused major damage to hospitals in the area.
