Small Oregon Coast Town Hit Hard by Vandalism, Graffiti

Police do not yet have a price tag on the cost of repairing the damage that was done.

(WALDPORT, Ore. ) - Waldport Oregon The small Oregon coast community of Waldport, Ore. was hit hard last week by graffiti and vandalism.

The Lincoln County Sheriff's office says the received multiple reports of vandals doing spray paint and other damage to vehicles, fences, and mailboxes in and around the area of Wakonda Beach Road.

Suspect David Anthony Durham is described as a white male, 6'3", 160 - 185 pounds, with long brown hair and blue eyes.

(WALDPORT) - 43-year old David Anthony Durham Details are being released in the ongoing search for the man who shot a police officer on the Oregon coast Sunday night.

43-year old David Anthony Durham is accused of shooting of Lincoln City Police Officer Steven B. Dodds, who remains in critical condition.

Search suspended for missing boater near Waldport

The search was called off Friday due to reduced visibility

(Astoria, Oregon) - Salem-News.com The Coast Guard and local authorities have suspended the search for a boater who went missing Friday after his 14-foot boat capsized approximately one mile offshore near Waldport, Ore.

The search was suspended at 1:20 p.m. Saturday after the Coast Guard and local authorities searched for the boater throughout Friday night and Saturday.

Morrisette Bill to Curb Student Athlete Head Injuries Passes Oregon Senate

The bill is informally named “Max’s Law,” in honor of Max Conradt, who suffered a permanent traumatic brain injury in 2001 football games for Waldport High School.

(SALEM, Ore.) - Max Conradt A bill aimed at reducing permanent brain injuries to members of school athletic teams passed the Oregon Senate unanimously on Tuesday.

Sponsored by Senator Bill Morrisette, at the request of the Brain Injury Association of Oregon, SB 348 would restrict the return of student athletes to practice or games when they show signs of a concussion.

One Person Dies in Crash on Highway 34 East of Highway 101

Police have not been able to notify the driver's next of kin.

(WALDPORT, Ore.) - Salem-News.com One person died early Wednesday morning in a single vehicle crash along Highway 34 about fifteen miles east of Highway 101. The victim's name is withheld pending next of kin notification.

According to Oregon State Police (OSP) Lieutenant Kelly Collins, on May 7, 2008 at approximately 3:46 AM a report was received through Lincoln County Communications Center of a vehicle off Highway 34 near milepost 15.

3 Oregon Men Arrested After Teen Found Severely Beaten

The three suspects face charges ranging from First Degree Assault to First Degree Unlawful Sexual Penetration.

(WALDPORT, Ore. ) - jail hands The Lincoln County Sheriff's Department is continuing to investgate an assault that occurred on Saturday that left a Waldport, Oregon teen severely injured.

At approximately 11:33 PM, sheriff's deputies were dispatched to the victim's home on SW Pacific Coast Hwy., in Waldport, on a reported assault. Initial investigation determined that the victim was assaulted by three male subjects known to him.
