The First Casualty of War is Truth: April 25, 2014 was the 99th Anniversary of the Disastrous Battle of Gallipoli

Gallipoli was just another example of the many shameful episodes in the history of warfare that were lied about or unreported by the war correspondents, military leaders and politicians...

(DULUTH, MN) - Battle of Gallipoli A number of years ago I read portions of a book entitled The First Casualty: From the Crimea to Vietnam: The War Correspondent as Hero, Propagandist and Myth Maker by Phillip Knightley.

Knightley points out in that book that in order to start (and then perpetuate) a war, a nation’s leaders have to lie...

The First Casualty of War is Truth; Gallipoli, the ANZAC Spirit Myth and Waltzing Matilda

We're not made by God to mass kill one another, and that's backed up by the Gospels. Lying and war are always associated. Pay attention to the war-makers when they try to defend their current war. If they’re moving their lips they're lying.” - ex-priest and antiwar activist, the late Philip Berrigan

(DULUTH, MN) - ANZAC at Gallipoli Not too long ago I watched Johnny Got His Gun, the film adaptation of Dalton Trumbo’s famous antiwar novel.

It is about a young American soldier who came home from the trenches of World War One France, having miraculously survived an artillery explosion that blew away his face, as well as both legs and both arms – not to mention his dog tags.

How the NYT Defangs Ukraine`s neo-Nazis

One of the main Ukrainian Insurgent Army battalions was organized by the Nazis who called it the Bataillon Ukrainische Gruppe Nachtigall (Nightingale Battalion).

(PORTLAND) - Nazi Orpo troops with local Ukrainian collaborationist Schutzmannschaft. I posted a more recent example of what Parry calls "unwritten rule of the MSM’s coverage of the Ukraine crisis," to pretend that the neo-Nazi militias were simply one of Vladimir Putin’s “delusions” or a figment of Russian propaganda or at most a minor and insignificant factor in ousting Yanukovych.

In the article link below on the killing of a notoriously violent Right Sector activist, NYT reporter Andrew Higgins describes a comrade of the deceased as "Yuriy Shukhevych"...

World War Two Pictorial

Great pics... the men may have flown them but the women built them!

(SALT LAKE CITY) - Some of these were taken in New Mexico back in the mid 70's when working at Heller's Camera in Bethesda MD. there was a reference book with a color photo of the battleship Pennsylvania in an advanced base sectional dock, somewhere in the Pacific in about 1944.

The quality of the photo made it clear that it was shot with a large format camera, which is puzzling since it was not thought that Kodachrome (the only modern color film of the time in the US)

The White Rose Lives! (in Oak Ridge, Tennessee): February 18, 1943 and February 18, 2014

The Nazis thought that the influence of the White Rose ended with their arrest, trial and immediate beheadings.

(DULUTH, MN) - Hans Scholl (left), Sophie Scholl and Christoph Probst, leaders of the White Rose resistance organization. Munich 1942 (USHMM Photo) 71 years ago last week, three idealist anti-fascist whistleblowing students at the University of Munich were arrested and imprisoned by the Gestapo.

PTSD, Cory Remberg and Crass Betrayal of our Best Fighters

Condemned by our own Congress.

(PORTLAND, OR) - First Sergeant Cory Remberg First Sergeant Cory Remberg is the best or worst example of America's betrayal of our best troops in our questionable wars. When I saw this brutally battered soldier at the President's State of the Union speech, I could not help but weep. There for the grace of God go I. 300,000 Combat Infantry were killed in my WWII.

I have medically taken care of about 1,000 military PTSD victims and successfully, I might add but none so bad as this.

The Jewish Civil War

The Labor and its left wing allies have been thoroughly expunged from Israel's politics, gathering on its best day, perhaps 20% support. But it controls Israel's financial industry and its media.

(ST AUGUSTINE, FL) - Hitler In the first month of '14, two events occurred that united the struggle within the Jewish people and explained the horror we have to live with, which is no less seminal to our history than the Roman decimation of Israel 2000 years ago.

And no Jew uttered even a peep of understanding. And this ignorance will cost us mightily.
