Seattle Hempfest and City of Seattle Reach Agreement: Hempfest Gets Three Days!

A planned construction project had threatened to derail this year's "protestival"

(SEATTLE, Wash.) - Seattle Hempfest 2010 Seattle Hempfest is pleased to announce that Hempfest will take place at Myrtle Edwards Park, Aug. 19, 20, 21, 2011. After six months of ongoing negotiations, and a federal lawsuit filed by Hempfest, the City of Seattle has agreed to grant Hempfest a Special Event Permit for 2011.

Hempfest organizers are encouraging the public to ignore all rumors of cancellation.

White House Requests Meeting with Seattle Times to Bully Against Pro-Pot Editorials

The ex-Washingtonian is expected Friday to discuss pot with the paper.

(SEATTLE) - Gil Kerlikowske going to Seattle The White House Office of National Drug Control Policy director Gil Kerlikowske wanted to fly to Seattle to speak personally with the paper's full editorial board after they ran an editorial supporting a bill to tax and regulate marijuana.

Bruce Ramsey, the editorial writer, says the White House called “right after our editorial ran, so I drew the obvious conclusion... he didn’t like our editorial.”

(MOLALLA, Ore.) - cannabis marijuana Way back in 1998 learned gentlemen of the Department of Human Services (DHS) when confronted with the legalization of Medical Marijuana collectively opined that about 500 patients in Oregon would qualify and be eligible for the ultra-valuable Oregon Medical Marijuana Permit.

I took him to task because he was writing about the medical risks which are minimal and glossing over the great, therapeutic benefits which are many and in fact, drugs of choice for about 100 disparate medical problems.
