Oregon Governor Signs SB 281 Allowing PTSD Sufferers to use Cannabis

As of Jan 1, 2014, veterans and others with PTSD, will be able to get their OMMP cards.

(Salem) - medical marijuana Oregon Governor John Kitzhaber showed his support of Veterans and others suffering from PTSD when he signed Senate Bill 281 on Thursday, allowing the legal medical use of Cannabis (marijuana).

Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) was added to the list of "debilitating medical conditions" as defined by Oregon statute with the Governor's signature.

Oregon Legislature Votes to Allow PTSD Sufferers Medical Cannabis

Great news for PTSD sufferers in Oregon, now just waiting for the Governor's signature.

(SALEM) - Oregon State Capitol The Oregon Legislature voted to add Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) as a qualifying condition under the Oregon Medical Marijuana Act (OMMA) just a few days after Memorial Day.

While any patient diagnosed with PTSD may get qualified under the state’s medical law, the plight of veterans dominated hearings and discussions surrounding the bill. Now, onto Governor Kitzhaber’s desk.
