Marion County K9 Captures Fugitive

The suspect is currently in the Linn County Jail for the charges of Burglary in the First Degree, Unlawful Entry of a Motor Vehicle, four outstanding Bench Warrants and Theft in the Third Degree.

(MILL CITY, OR) - Marion County Sheriff's Deputy Jason Bernards and his K9 partner Rolo A Marion County deputy and his canine partner helped nab a man authorities describe as a wanted felon with numerous warrants for his arrest.

Marion County Sheriff's Deputy Jason Bernards and his K9 partner Rolo were called to help the Linn County Sheriff's Office in the 400 block of SW Ivy Street in Mill City December 8th at 9:35 p.m.

Deputies Searching For Missing Mill City Man

Anyone with information pertaining to the whereabouts of Mr. Johnson is asked to contact Marion County Sheriff's Office at 503-588-5032.

(SALEM) - Gregory D. Johnson age 54 On September 30th Patrol Deputies responded to the 28300 block of Santiam Hwy SE near Mill City, on a report that Gregory D. Johnson age 54, left his residence on September 29th at 8:30 a.m., and he has not been seen or heard from since.

Gregory left his residence on foot and was last seen wearing a green camouflage jacket.

Police Investigating Child Drowning East of Salem

The grandparents told deputies that Johnny was last seen in his room watching a child's video.

(MILL CITY, Ore. ) - death investigation photo Linn County Sheriff Tim Mueller reports that his deputies are investigating the death of a child who was found in a small pond in Mill City.

Johnny L. Caldera, age 2 years and 11 months, was staying with his grandparents, who are his guardians, on Dogwood Street in Mill City.

At 7:56 PM Thursday evening, deputies were dispatched to the residence when the boy's grandparents found him floating in a small fish pond in their front yard.

Fatal Crash on Highway 22 (UPDATE)

Police say Highway 22 East of Salem is very slick with ice. Motorists are urged to use extreme caution when driving and should remember that shaded areas can be icy.

(MILL CITY) - fatal crash investigation At approximately 1:35 PM today, two Portland Area Residents died in a two-vehicle crash on Highway 22 near Mill City. An off-duty medic was at the crash scene and reported the fatalities.

The preliminary investigation revealed that a 2002 Toyota 4-Runner, driven by 27-year old Levi Wilson, of Turner slid out of control, on black ice, in a curve. A 1999 Subaru Legacy made an evasive maneuver to avoid a collision but was struck on the passenger side.

19 Hearing Impaired Students That Were Missing Walk Back to Camp

The students, all from different parts of the country, had a nurse in their party and they are described as "well equipped."

(MILL CITY) - Blackhawk pilot running toward aircraft Linn County Sheriff Tim Mueller reports a group of 19 hearing impaired youth that were overdue and presumed lost turned up at their camp in the Santiam State Forest south of Mill City.

The group was reported overdue at 8:40 PM yesterday by one of their leaders who was able to walk out and call for help. The youths are juniors and seniors in high school and are well equipped according the team's leader.

Everyone in the group was hearing impaired, raising the challenge for searchers accustomed to being able to call out to people. The team leader that went for help was the only individual with the group who can speak.

A series of armed robberies in Keizer have left clerks shaken and kept police investigators busy over the past two months; the payoff came Saturday with the arrest of a man believed to be responsible for all four incidents...

(Keizer) - Surveillance photo of suspect in the most recent Keizer Walgreen's armed robbery Photo: Keizer Police Police have arrested a Mill City man that they say is connected to a string of armed robberies which began last December. Three of the incidents were armed robberies at Walgreen`s Pharmacy stores. Two were at the Keizer location, one happened at the Walgreen`s on Lancaster Drive in Salem. A person believed to be the same suspect also robbed the Blockbuster Video, at 5402 River Road North in Keizer.
