Grandmother of Missing 5-Year Old Girl Blames Lackluster Media Coverage on Race

(GLENDALE, Ariz.) - A grandmother in Arizona says that the reason her grandchild hasn't gotten attention for her disappearance is because she is African American.

The girl has been missing for a week, and she has been begging the media to cover her child's disappearance. Jahessye Shockley was last seen on October 11 and disappeared while her mother was out running an errand.

(PORTLAND, Ore) - On Wednesday, October 5, 2011 Oregon law enforcement officials released information regarding the search for missing 19-year old Cody Myers of Lafayette, Oregon and asked everyone to continue to be on the lookout for Myers, two vehicles including his missing white 1999 Plymouth Breeze four-door displaying Oregon license 025 CCH, and two suspects sought in connection with a murder investigation in Everett, Washington.

Information indicates the vehicle and suspects were last known to be in the Linn, Benton, Polk and Marion counties.
