Grandmother of Missing 5-Year Old Girl Blames Lackluster Media Coverage on Race

$16,000 in reward money for information regarding Jahessye Shockley's whereabouts.

(GLENDALE, Ariz.) - Jahessye Shockley - missing from Glendale, Ariz. A grandmother in Arizona says that the reason her grandchild hasn't gotten attention for her disappearance is because she is African American.

The girl has been missing for a week, and she has been begging the media to cover her child's disappearance. Jahessye Shockley was last seen on October 11 and disappeared while her mother was out running an errand.

Searchers and Law Enforcement Still Working Hard to Find Mark Bosworth

There is a $10,000 reward for information that leads us to Mark.

(PORTLAND, Ore.) - Find Mark Bosworth Volunteer search and rescue members continued spot checks in Douglas County today, in the search for Mark Bosworth.

A team checked out a couple of areas on Cow Creek Road following a hunch Mark could have wandered that direction. Cow Creek Road stretches to the southwest awa from Riddle and runs along its namesake creek. No sign of Mark was found.

Police in Manhunt Locate Young Adult`s Body and Wanted Pair - UPDATE

The manner, cause of death, and positive identification is pending the results of an autopsy.

(PORTLAND, Ore) - Cody Myers of Lafayette, Oregon On Wednesday, October 5, 2011 Oregon law enforcement officials released information regarding the search for missing 19-year old Cody Myers of Lafayette, Oregon and asked everyone to continue to be on the lookout for Myers, two vehicles including his missing white 1999 Plymouth Breeze four-door displaying Oregon license 025 CCH, and two suspects sought in connection with a murder investigation in Everett, Washington.

Information indicates the vehicle and suspects were last known to be in the Linn, Benton, Polk and Marion counties.

New urgency in the effort to Find Mark

Despite Mark’s dire medical condition, the doctor did tell Julie that Mark could still be getting around: talking, walking, moving, trying desperately to get where he thinks he is supposed to be.

(PORTLAND, Ore.) - Mark Bosworth Mark Bosworth’s family puts out an urgent plea after meeting with his oncologist. "We have learned that my dad's condition will likely deteriorate quicker than we thought,” said Kelly Bosworth, one of Mark’s daughters. “We need to find him in the next few days.” (See Find Mark Facebook page for full statement.)

Julie, Mark’s wife, met with his doctor Wednesday evening. After discussing Mark’s behavior and incidents that occurred in the weeks and days leading up to his disappearance, the doctor told Julie he is all but certain the cancer has moved to Mark’s brain. It is affecting the frontal lobe: the seat of memory, reasoning and judgment.

Bosworth Update - Calls to Tip Line from `all over`

Tips coming in from “all over” to help find Mark Bosworth, while push for national attention continues

(PORTLAND, Ore.) - Mark Bosworth he Douglas County Sheriff’s Office says it is receiving calls into its tip line about Mark Bosworth from “all over.” Calls have come in from throughout Oregon, Washington, California and as far away as Grand Teton National Park in Wyoming.

Mark went missing on the night of September 16 in Riddle, Oregon while volunteering with Cycle Oregon. He had been disoriented in the weeks before, and the night of, his disappearance. A medical condition related to previous cancers he’s battled is likely to blame for his confusion.

Justin Houck, a close friend and co-worker of Mark's, met Lemond today at a cycling event in Hood River, Oregon called the Echelon Gan Fondo.

I suggest we reinvent this idea.

(SALEM, Ore.) - Amber Alert I've known for some time that I needed to express my accumulation of not-so-positive thoughts on the Amber Alert system and the horrific joke is has become in our society.

One after another, almost every single time with few exceptions, these alerts are issued only when one or more of the parties are tied to public welfare support. In other words, the system isn't about reclaiming kids, it is about being sure deadbeat parents are arrested because the respective state governments have money on the line.
