Oregon Wildlife Center Makes National News With Unusual Gift Idea

"Ex's" find their names assigned to salmon and eaten by bears.

(SALEM, Ore.) - wildlife images In honor of Valentine’s Day, Wildlife Images came up with a highly original idea to get some extra donation money from the public, and have some fun doing it.

Specifically, they invited spurned, jilted or otherwise unlucky-in-love individuals to have salmon named after their ex-partners, and then fed to the Center’s two brown bears, Kodi and Yak.

Salem Cop One of The Mac Men Arrested for Burglary

Two men, including an off-duty Salem Police officer, have been charged with multiple felonies.

(PORTLAND, Ore.) - Thayres and Cardenas Cardenas is charged with two counts of aggravated theft in the first degree, four counts of burglary in the second degree and one count of unlawful possession of methamphetamine.

Thayres is charged with one count of theft in the first degree and one count of unlawful possession of methamphetamine. Seth Thayres is a police officer with the City of Salem, and has been for six years.

Snow West of the Cascades Starting Thursday Night

Temperatures will be cold enough for snow to stick.

A band of light precipitation is expected to develop over the region during this time, which will likely result in some snow flurries with little to no accumulation for many locations.

A cold air mass will remain over the Pacific Northwest through the weekend, and potentially much of next week as well. This will likely result in additional chances for low elevation snowfall.

Carlton Man Suspected Serial Sexual Predator

Bail is $2.5 million for 32 felony counts, nearly all sex crimes.

(YAMHILL COUNTY, Ore.) - Robert Koester 52-year old Robert Koester's residence and outbuildings were used as photography studios, in the 16000 block of NW Meadowlake Road in rural Carlton.

Koester, who has also used the names “Bert Kay”, “Rhake Winter” and “Qitooly”, was arrested by the Carlsbad Police Department on November 13, 2018 on sex related crimes under California criminal code.

Oregon Woman Not Held Responsible For Daughters Death

Weathers was sentenced as a first-time offender on the charge of DUII

(McMINNVILLE, Ore.) - Jennifer Weathers According to officials, when Weathers left the wedding, she had her adult daughter and pre-school aged granddaughter in the vehicle. During the drive, she argued with her daughter, who ultimately "fell or jumped" from the vehicle, and was killed.

Although the DUII charge stemmed from her actions that night, there were no applicable Oregon criminal statutes to the death itself.
