Oregon Reports 168 New Confirmed and Presumptive COVID-19 Cases

Oregon’s death toll from COVID-19 is currently at 215.

(PORTLAND, Ore.) - COVID-19 OHA released its Weekly Testing Summary today, which showed that for the week of 6/28-7/5, 39,914 tests were conducted. Of those tests 5.3 percent were positive.

The Oregon Health Authority reported 168 new confirmed and presumptive cases of COVID-19 bringing the state total to 10,395 cases.

7 Men Arrested on Oregon Coast for Harassing Black Family

Lincoln City Police arrested the group of men after they caused a "disturbance on the beach".

(LINCOLN CITY, Ore.) - beach bigots The initial officers arriving on scene in one of the Lincoln City Police Department’s beach ATV’s were immediately surrounded by this group of about 10 people who began taunting and challenging the officers for seizing illegal fireworks.

Several other officers arrived on scene and learned that this same group of white people had been taunting and challenging a family of black persons by yelling racial slurs at them, insulting them and using Nazi salutes towards them.

Dallas Man Killed in Motorcycle Crash

A 4th of July ride in Eastern Oregon turned deadly for one Oregon man.

(WASCO COUNTY, Ore.) - Harley-Davidson A Harley-Davidson rider was killed in a crash Saturday, July 4th, near milepost 38 on Hwy 197 in Wasco County.

The riders were slowing to turn left onto Juniper Flat Rd., however, he was apparently unable to stop and crashed, avoiding the other motorcycles.

Positive tests for COVID-19 have continuing to increase in Oregon

(PORTLAND, Ore.) - COVID-19 COVID-19 has claimed one more life in Oregon, raising the state’s death toll to 209, the Oregon Health Authority reported at 12:01 a.m. today.

Oregon Health Authority reported 375 new confirmed and presumptive cases of COVID-19 as of 12:01 a.m. today, bringing the state total to 9,294.

Human Sex Trafficking Investigation Results in 24-count Indictment

The alleged crimes occurred in January and February of 2019.

(PORTLAND, Ore.) - human trafficking Today, Multnomah County District Attorney Rod Underhill announced the filing of a 24-count indictment against 55-year-old Tracy Steven Rasberry following a human sex trafficking investigation.

A Multnomah County grand jury charged Rasberry with 24 counts of promoting prostitution.

Successful Rescue of Fallen Climber on Mt Hood

The events of Saturday morning will not soon be forgotten.

(MT HOOD, Oregon) - mt hood rescue victim Katie Howard, of Portland, called 911 at about 7:30 a.m. to report her climbing partner had fallen and was presumed to be seriously injured.

26-year old Von Donald Houvener, of Portland, had fallen about 300 feet down to the White River Canyon and was located at approximately 9,100' elevation.

Fatal Crash Claims Two When Vehicle Goes Off Cliff in Oregon Wilderness

The vehicle was 100 or more feet down a steep embankment.

Three Killed During Morning Crash East of Salem

When emergency crews arrived at the scene the Honda was on fire.

(SALEM, Ore.) - fatal crash oregon The two adults in the Honda, 33-year old Kelly Byrd and 41-year old Joseph Dominick, both died at the scene of the crash.

Investigators determined Byrd had been driving the Honda southbound on Howell Prairie Road when she crossed into the oncoming lane of travel, striking the 2016 Ram.
