Man Charged with Murder for Shooting in Yamhill

It all happened in the small town of Yamhill, Oregon.

(SALEM, Ore.) - RICHARD ROBERT MERSHON The suspect, Richard R Mershon, was reported to have gotten into an argument with a man that led to a physical fight. The physical fight quickly turned into a shooting, by a man that had been drinking.

Male victim number one told Police he had witnessed the suspect push a pregnant female, and she may have fallen down. The woman was apparently an employee of Zippy's Pizza, had been trying to help give the suspect a ride home because he was intoxicated.

Polk County Grand Jury Unanimously Finds Officer Involved Shooting Justified

"...use of deadly force was lawful and justified"

(DALLAS, Ore.) - Baltazar Escalona-Baez On Tuesday, a Polk County Grand Jury unanimously found that Polk County Sheriff's Sergeant Kevin Haynes and Polk County Sheriff's Deputy Kelly Lorence were justified in using deadly force when they shot and killed 17-year old Baltazar Escalona-Baez, of Silverton, on the morning of October 28, 2017.

...Escalona-Baez, still within arm's reach of Haynes, turned around and advanced directly towards Haynes, pointing the knife towards him. Haynes then shot Escalona-Baez twice.

WANTED: Unlawful Killer(s) of Black Tail Deer

Maybe the deer ran after being shot, but either way, someone needs to come forward.

(SALEM, Ore.) - Salem-News.com On Friday, November 3rd, 2017, Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife biologist located a black tail buck that was shot and left on Gravel Creek road.

The deer appeared to have been shot the night prior and was left with no meat taken. Oregon State Police is investigating the unlawful killing and waste of the black tail deer.

Witnesses are asked to call the Oregon State Police at 1-800-452-7888.

(WOODBURN, Ore.) - Woodburn car accident A ten-car accident near Woodburn Tuesday night was a domino effect after a large object fell into the freeway.

At about 9:30 p.m., the Northern Command Center (NCC) was notified of a large metal object that had fallen off of a pick-up truck.

Police Arrest Man for Murder of Kenny Kalugin

Oregon State Police SWAT was activated to assist in the arrest.

(SALEM, Ore.) - fatal shooting Shortly after 7:00 am, Friday, Salem Police officers responded to an alley west of the 1800 block of Liberty St NE on a report of an unconscious subject in a vehicle. Officers and medics located an adult male victim in a vehicle and confirmed that he was deceased.

The victim was identified as 37-year old Kenny Kalugin of Gervais. Autopsy results indicated that Kalugin died as a result of multiple gunshot wounds.

Snow is expected in the Northern Oregon Cascades above 4000 feet, so plan on difficult conditions if travelling across the Cascade passes or above. Total snow accumulations of 6 to 12 inches are expected.

500 Undocumented Portland Pot Plants in Custody

Mature marijuana plants were confiscated weighing 2,998.2 pounds (stalks and all).

(PORTLAND, Ore.) - medical marijuana grow Officers contacted several individuals who provided documentation about the marijuana. According to the documents, the marijuana was being grown for five patients under the Oregon Medical Marijuana Program.

The individuals claimed they were in the process of obtaining their "Recreational License" through the Oregon Liquor Control Commission (OLCC), but no license had been granted.

Linn County Sheriff`s Office Investigates Bomb Threat at Harrisburg Middle School

Better safe than sorry, the schools were evacuated.

(HARRISBURG, Ore.) - Harrisburg middle school Linn County Undersheriff Jim Yon reports his deputies are investigating a bomb threat at a Middle School.

This morning at 9:33 a.m., a note was found at Harrisburg Middle School threatening to blow it up at 11:00 a.m. Deputies responded and students and staff from the Middle School and the nearby Elementary School were evacuated to safety. The schools notified parents about the threat.

WANTED: Domestic Violence Suspect in Lincoln County

(SALEM, Ore.) - Nahcoma Michael Lee Epperson On Monday October 30th at approximately 12:00 p.m., the Oregon State Police was dispatched to a domestic violence call, which occurred as the victim was driving southbound on US Highway 101 from Lincoln City to Toledo, Oregon.

Once troopers responded to the area, the preliminary investigation revealed the driver, an 18-year-old woman was driving when she was physically assaulted by her boyfriend, 21-year-old Nahcoma Michael Lee Epperson from Siletz, Oregon.
