Apex Court Accepts Malik Ummad`s Application to Re-Open Rimsha`s Case

The Islamabad High Court previously dropped all charges.
(ISLAMABAD) -
The Supreme Court of Pakistan accepted the plea of Rimsha’s accuser to seek to re-open her case. She is the Christian girl who was accused of blasphemy that had her case dismissed, or so we thought.
Earlier, on 16th January 2013, when the Supreme Court (SC) dismissed a final appeal in the case against Rimsha Masih, it effectively ended all legal proceedings on the issue.

The Catholic-Christian Secular Forum (CSF), India's apex activist community NGO, has urged the prime minister and finance minister of the country to declare at least Easter Sunday if not Holy Saturday preceding it as a sectional holiday.
The CSF general secretary, Joseph Dias issued a memorandum detailing what the holiday means to Christians.

On February 6, 1997, a religiously charged mob attacked village Shantinagar; 800 houses including churches, hostels were torched. In November 2005, about 100 Christian houses, schools, hostels, and Christian Clinic were burnt in Sangla Hill.
