2-Alarm Fire Damages Salem Home Friday Night

One Salem Firefighter was injured during the fire, and taken to Salem Hospital.

(SALEM, Ore. ) - Salem Oregon House Fire A two alarm fire Friday night caused heavy damage to the rear portion of a single story home in NE Salem.

As was first to report, and was on scene as Salem firefighters fought the tough, raging fire located at 3325 Arbon Street, firefighters had to chop down a neighbors fence to battle the blaze.

Salem Firefighters Battling Two Alarm House Fire will have more on this story, including video from the scene as soon as it becomes available

(SALEM, Ore. ) - BREAKING NEWS is on scene of a two alarm house fire in the 3800 block of Arbon Street NE in Salem.

Neighbors told that they saw flames shooting out of the window on the back of the home and called 9-1-1. First arriving firefighters found the house, which was vacant, fully involved and called in a second alarm.

Woman Escapes Salem Mobile Home Fire

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.

(SALEM, Ore. ) - Salem Oregon Fire Salem firefighters were able to quickly put out a fire inside a mobile home in NE Salem Friday afternoon.

Salem Fire Chief Brian Hoaglin told on scene that the fire, located inside the Shady Acres Mobile Home Park at the corner of Portland Road NE and Hazelgreen Road NE, started in the kitchen and worked it's way up into the attic.

UPDATE #3: Rescue Crews to Resume Search for Teen Presumed Drowned in Salem Creek will have more on this story as soon as it becomes available.

(SALEM, Ore. ) - BREAKING NEWS Salem Firefighters and Salem Police are conducting a search of Mill Creek and other waterways in SE Salem in and around Cascade Gateway Park for a child that has been reported missing.

A rescue boat has been brought in to search for what has learned is a male teenager. in on scene, and an active search for the child is being conducted in Mill Creek upstream and at Walter Wirth Lake inside the park. Rescue crews are also searching ditches and other grassy areas in and around the park.

UPDATE 11:14 p.m.: The Newberg Fire Department dive team has been called into assist and evaluate the situation.

UPDATE: 12:30 a.m.: Search crews have called off the search for the night. Units will remain in the area in case something is discovered overnight. will have more information in the morning.

UPDATE: 8:00 a.m.: Search and Rescue crews will be back out searching for a 16-year-old boy who they believed drowned Sunday night while swimming in Mill Creek.
