(SAN FRANCISCO) - Cell  phones A growing body of scientific evidence shows that there are significant health hazards to cell phone use.

These include brain tumors; damage to DNA, an undisputed cause of cancer; blood-brain barriers; and male fertility damage by cell phone use because men, especially teenagers, put their cell phones in their pockets when not in use, causing a deleterious effect on sperm count and sperm motility.

Vietnam: Stop Cyber Attacks Against Online Critics

Human Rights Watch cites government Crackdown on Bloggers and Websites.

(NEW YORK) - Internet users in Vietnam Vietnam has launched a sophisticated and sustained two-pronged attack against online dissent, Human Rights Watch said today. The government is detaining and intimidating independent Vietnamese bloggers while also permitting cyber attacks from Vietnam to disable websites critical of the government.

In the past two months, Vietnamese authorities detained at least seven independent bloggers, subjecting them to extended interrogations and, in some instances, physical abuse.

UNRWA Provides Laptops to Gaza School Children

2009 Highway Deaths Hit Record 60-year Low

This preliminary rate is the lowest rate in Oregon motor vehicle history.

(SALEM, Ore.) - Wrecked Salem, Oregon Police For 2009, preliminary numbers show that 381 people lost their lives on Oregon roads. That’s a 9 percent decline from 2008 and the lowest number of fatalities since the late 1940s.

Officials noted that one death is too many, but it is still heartening news for people whose job it is to reduce and prevent vehicle-related injuries and fatalities.
