Agent Orange: Thailand Military Bases

DoD determined that herbicides used on the Thailand base perimeters may have been tactical and procured from Vietnam, or a strong, commercial type resembling tactical herbicides.

(WASHINGTON D.C.) - U-Tapao Air Base, Thailand, 1972 Vietnam-era Veterans whose service involved duty on or near the perimeters of military bases in Thailand may have been exposed to herbicides and may qualify for VA benefits.

A recently declassified Department of Defense Report written in 1973 contains evidence that there was a significant use of herbicides on the fenced-in perimeters of military bases in Thailand.

Vietnam War Photographer Tim Page Hospitalized in Bangkok

Ever see Apocalypse Now? The combat photographer that Dennis Hopper portrays at the end of the movie, is based on Tim Page.

(SALEM, Ore.) - Recent image of Tim Page in Afghanistan, over a shot of Page in his hospital bed in Bangkok. Tim Page, infamous and notorious Vietnam War Photographer and noted world traveler, has been hospitalized after taking a fall in Hanoi. Thanh Nien News reports that Page was transported for treatment of a broken pelvis.

The legendary 66-year old native of the UK reportedly fell in front of a hotel, according to local news Website Dan Tri. A substantial heart problem was detected after Page was transported to a Hanoi hospital.

Renegade Thai General Vows `Civil War` Before Being Shot

Ousted Major General who led protesters is struck by a bullet to the head.

(BANGKOK) - Maj. Gen. Khattiya Sawatdiphol, 59, known as Seh Daeng, A renegade Thai general shot here Thursday as the military planned to encircle barricaded antigovernment demonstrators predicted that the protests would become “civil warfare.”

Those prophetic words came in an interview with Radio Free Asia (RFA) just hours before he was struck in the head with a bullet.
