Animal Rights volunteer Adam Fahnestock was monitoring the Big Loop Rodeo Saturday when rodeo personnel and a deputy approached him.
After a very brief conversation, the deputy suddenly grabbed Fahnestock and threw him violently to the ground where rodeo personnel then also set upon him.

Witness Against Torture has been holding vigils and rallies throughout the country, calling the White House and US military, and sending letters to the detained men.
(NEW YORK CITY) -
12 concerned citizens with Witness Against Torture were arrested at a “die-in” on the steps of the Manhattan Federal Courthouse.
It was a response to reports that 84 men at Guantanamo Bay — are hunger striking to protest their indefinite detention.

166 men remain imprisoned at Guantanamo. 86 have been cleared for release.

On Sunday, March 24 human rights activists throughout the United States began a seven day fast and series of actions in solidarity with the men currently on hunger strike at the U.S. prison in Guantanamo Bay, Cuba.
Dozens of men, according to detainee lawyers, are entering their seventh week of a hunger strike to protest their indefinite detention and a new wave of alleged abuses.
