In 2003, the top 1 percent of American households owned 57.5 percent of corporate wealth and the top tenth of 1 percent about half of that. On the other hand, the bottom 40% owned less than 1% of the nation's wealth.

Oregon Coalition Condemns Discriminatory New Law Passed in Arizona State

Arizona: "Its a dry kind of hate"

(SALEM, Ore.) - Salem-News.com Oregon's Immigrant Rights Coalition condemns the decision of Arizona's governor to sign the most extreme legislation anywhere in the country to deal with the nation's broken immigration system.

SB 1070, signed into law this afternoon, will require local police officers to question people about their immigration status if there is reason to suspect they are undocumented immigrants.

2010 Minidoka Pilgrimage

Minidoka invites all those who are interested to join us on our pilgrimage.

(TWIN FALLS, Idaho) - Gathering at a previous event at Minidoka During World War II, almost 13,000 people of Japanese ancestry were forcibly removed from their homes and sent to a desolate “internment camps”.

Former internees, families, friends, and those interested in this historic event will make a pilgrimage from Seattle and Portland to the former Minidoka Internment Camp in June.
