Be Aware! Road Work on Kuebler Blvd Could Slow Your Commute Tuesday

The City of Salem Public Works Department wants you to Be Aware! of three road construction projects that are set to begin on Tuesday.
Please make a note of these construction projects and if your commute takes you through one of these work-zones be prepared for minor delays.

Be Aware! Northbound I-5 Onramp From Kuebler Blvd. to be Closed Through Saturday

The ramp work is part of the I-5 N. Santiam to Kuebler Interchange Project that includes replacing six I-5 bridges and adding travel lanes in both directions.
(SALEM) -
The northbound I-5 onramp from Kuebler Boulevard will be closed through Saturday. Crews will be working around the clock during the closure to rebuild the onramp.
During the closure, drivers will be directed to use a detour to access I-5 northbound.

Be Aware! Two Salem Area Road Construction Projects Could Put a Damper on Your Commute

Expect delays of 15 minutes and intermittent lane closures.
(SALEM) -
The City of Salem and the Oregon Department of Transportation want you to Be Aware! of two road construction projects that begin on Monday.
Turner Road at the I-5 undercrossing will be closed from Monday through Friday from 7:00 PM and 5:00 AM.
The closure will allow construction to take place on the new I-5 bridge over Turner Road. Crews expect to have the work finished by 5:00 AM on Friday.

Be Aware! Salem-Area Road Construction Projects Could Put a Damper on Your Commute Beginning Monday

The City of Salem Public Works Department wants you to Be Aware! of four road construction projects that are set to begin on Monday that could affect your commute through town.
Center St NE - Between 13th St NE and 14th St NE -10/23 to 10/27 - 8:30 AM to 3:30 PM. Lanes narrowed and shifted for sewer service replacement
Wiltsey Rd SE - Between Woodside Dr SE and Commercial St SE - 10/23 to 10/26 - 8:30 AM to 3:30 PM. Street closure with detour for installation of utilities for new development. Local access will be maintained from Woodside Dr SE.

Be Aware! Expect Delays on Orchard Heights Road Through Next Month

Expect up to 15-minute delays.
(SALEM) -
The City of Salem Public Works Department wants you to Be Aware! of a road construction project in West Salem that could affect your commute.
Beginning Tuesday, through Nov. 30th, Orchard Heights Rd NW Between Titan Dr NW and Grice Hill Dr NW, lane closure with flaggers for utilities installation for a new housing development.
Crews will be working from 8:30 AM to 3:30 PM.

ODOT to Host Ceremony for Rickreall Interchange
The community is invited to attend the Tuesday afternoon event, which will be held rain or shine.
(RICKREALL) -
The Oregon Department of Transportation will host a ribbon cutting ceremony on Tuesday, Oct. 17th at 1:00 PM to celebrate the nearly completed Rickreall Interchange. The ceremony will be held at the Rickreall Fire Department, on the corner of Church St. and Oregon 99W in Rickreall.
Construction of the new Rickreall Interchange Project is making progress, and is scheduled to be completed on time in December.
The $16.2 million project includes construction of a bridge on Highway 99W that crosses Highway 22, and a bridge that takes eastbound Highway 22 traffic over Highway 223.

(SALEM) -
On Oregon Highway 22, look for the North Santiam Highway Bridge Replacement Project on North Santiam Highway 22 between mileposts 60 and 76, About 10 miles east of Detroit.
The contractor replaced the existing Whitewater Creek, Marion Creek, Pamelia Creek and North Santiam River bridges and established traffic on these new structures within a 17 mile stretch of Highway 22.

I-5 Southbound in the Salem Area Closed This Afternoon (UPDATE- I-5 Closed Through 6:00 PM)

Salem Public Works has closed Southbound I-5 at Kuebler Boulevard. Traffic is being routed off at the Kuebler exit and then immediately back on. Still, serious traffic delays are expected through this evening.
Expect substantially slower travel on the southbound I-5 Wednesday afternoon.
(SALEM) -
Southbound Interstate 5 between Mission Street/N. Santiam Highway and Kuebler Boulevard will be closed until about 6:00 PM this evening, while crews work on a fiber optic line that runs under the freeway, and then repave the road surface.

Be Aware! Material From Blasting Project Closes Highway 20

One lane was expected to be cleared by 5:30 PM Monday.
(EDDYVILLE) -
The Oregon Department of Transportation has closed Highway 20 at mile post 23, about two mile east of Eddyville, after material from a rock-blasting project inadvertently landed on the highway.
The incident occurred at about 4 PM Monday at the east end of the U.S. 20 Pioneer Mountain-Eddyville highway improvement project. No injuries have been reported.
