New version of "We shall overcome" is a tribute to the suffering in Gaza.

(NEW YORK) - Roger Waters Over the new year 2009-2010, an international group of 1500 men and women from 42 nations went to Egypt to join a Freedom March to Gaza.

They did this to protest the current blockade of Gaza. To protest the fact that the people of Gaza live in a virtual prison. To protest the fact that a year after the terror attack by Israeli armed forces destroyed most of their homes, hospitals, schools, and other public buildings, they have no possibility to rebuild because their borders are closed.

Natural Gas Line Fire in Salem, Big Flames, No Injuries

Fortunately, nobody was hurt.

(SALEM, Ore.) - Natural gas fire, Salem, Oregon 19 July 2011 Construction equipment was apparently behind the rupturing of a natural gas line in Salem Tuesday night.

It happened around 9:30 p.m. near the Salem Paint Company, at 702 High Street NE.

Israeli Navy Takes Over Dignity Ship

There are thirteen persons onboard the Dignity ship, including a French Parliamentarian and reporters of the Qatar-based, Al Jazeera.

(ASHDOD PORT IMEMC & Agencies) - Gaza Freedom Flotilla II ship The Dignity Israeli sources reported that the Israeli Navy stopped, on Tuesday, the Dignity solidarity ship that was heading to deliver humanitarian supplies to the Gaza Strip, no clashes were reported.

Israeli Radio, Reshet Bet, reported that around 10:30 in the morning, the Navy controlled the ship without any clashes, and that the ship will be towed to the Ashdod Port.

Israel Convicts Most Stone-Throwing Palestinian Children

Civil rights group B'Tselem, says says nearly 100% of Palestinian children charged with rock-throwing are convicted, because of overwhelming pressure to plea bargain.

(TEL AVIV Ha'aretz) - Stone thrower in West Bank Only one Palestinian minor of 853 charged with rock-throwing between 2005-2010 was acquitted, according to a new report by the human rights group B'Tselem.

B'Tselem based its report, which is being released Monday, on data it obtained from the Israel Defense Forces spokesman about minors who were arrested during those six years and charged solely with rock-throwing; it does not relate to those charged with other crimes.
