Tamils for Obama wishes the president a good 2014 and asks him to get behind an international investigation into war crimes committed by Sri Lankan officials during and since the ethnic war, and to help the Tamil victims in northeastern Sri Lanka to determine their own destiny.

(NEW YORK) - Major General Mahinda Hathurusinghe, Commander, Jaffna Security Forces, laughs openly over credible, verified reports of Tamils being raped and tortured. In a letter sent to President Obama recently, Tamils for Obama wished the president a happy 2014 and asked him to help the SL Tamils in two significant matters.

"We told the president there are two things the Tamils in Sri Lanka need from him in 2014," said the press spokesman for Tamils for Obama.

Deputies Pursue Suspects Near Stayton (VIDEO)

A deputy involved in the reported chase says the pursuit reached speeds of up to 100 miles per hour.

(STAYTON, OR) - Police at scene of car chase near Stayton, Oregon 12-29-13 Today at about 11:00 a.m. Deputies following up on several burglary investigations in south Marion County came across a silver Honda Civic that they believed may be connected to their investigation near Jefferson.

Taliban Play Soccer With Decapitated Human Heads

I have pity for anyone who would do something like this.

(SALEM) - Salem-News.com logo Right-wing stalwart Pamela Geller has released this revolting clip of men reported to be Taliban, picking up, and then playing soccer, with decapitated heads. Geller uses the opportunity to bash Islam, not unexpectedly, however this behavior wasn't taking place during the 1960's or 1970's, before war began courting the Afghan countryside.

Maybe if Pashtun country hadn't been divided in half in the 1920's by the British Maginot Line, which divided the historic Pashtun people, who are the basis for the Taliban today....

Why Did the Army Refuse to Aid Fallen Marines at Ganjgal? (VIDEO)

Never before in American history were U.S. troops intentionally sent on a mission where their "brother" Americans refused to help, allowing them to simply die.

(SALEM) - U.S. soldiers standing outside of the TOC at Camp Joyce in Afghanistan. As a team of Marines were killed at Ganjgal village in 2009, U.S. Army commanders made a conscious decision to leave them to die. This is a stone cold documented fact. They could have been aided and their deaths avoided, but they were left to die.

As the Marine Lieutenant in charge of the team made his final call to the army for artillery and air support, he told the officers he was about to die. The army staff at nearby Camp Joyce replied, "Try Your Best".

One Man Shot, Police Seek Shooter

The Suspect is described as a Hispanic male, early 20's, approximately 5'8" in height and stocky build.

(SALEM OR) - Police car One man is shot in the arm tonight when he was walking along Silverton Rd NE in Salem.

Police say the suspect fired multiple shots at the victim before fleeing the scene in the sedan which was last seen traveling westbound on Silverton Rd NE.
