(PORTLAND, Ore.) - Oregon HIV strategy Oregon today launched an initiative that will end new HIV infections in the state, building on decades of foundational work to introduce a new five-year plan focused on testing, prevention and treatment.

The initiative, called End HIV Oregon, envisions a state in which all new HIV infections are eliminated and where all people living with HIV have access to high-quality care, free from stigma and discrimination.

Portland 42nd Annual Veteran`s Day Parade (SLIDESHOW)

This year, the parade honored the 2 million women veterans who have served in the armed forces.

(PORTLAND, Ore.) - veterans day parade Thousands of traditional parade-goers and veteran supporters came out to watch the Portland's 42nd Annual Veteran's Day Parade Friday morning.

Grand Marshal 93-year old Golda Fabian, of Tigard, has been in the Portland Veterans Day Parade since 1988. 93-year old Hattie Kelley, of Beaverton, and 94-year old Muriel "Dolly" Ruble, of Portland, were the two other Grand Marshals leading the parade. The three women were WWII veterans of the U.S. Marine Corps Women's Reserve.

Vandalism at Cape Kiwanda Destroys Duckbill Formation

Vandals crossed a fence put there for safety, and then destroyed the landmark.

(PACIFIC CITY, Ore.) - Duckbill sand structure A natural rock formation at Cape Kiwanda State Natural Area was found in pieces last week. The park is on the Oregon coast in southern Tillamook County.

The sandstone pedestal, known locally as the duckbill and roughly 7-10' across, was located in an area of the park fenced off for safety.

Minnesota Woman Live-Streamed Moments After Police Killed Her Boyfriend

The aftermath of the officer-involved shooting was live-streamed on facebook, then deleted by administrators.

(SALEM, Ore.) - Philando Castile Her boyfriend was in the passenger seat. According to Reynolds, Castile told the officer that he was carrying a gun, which he had a permit to carry. He told the officer that he was going to reach into his back pocket for his wallet and identification.

She said the officer told Castile “not to move” then, so he stopped and, “as he was putting his hands back up, the officer shot him in the arm four or five times,” Reynolds said.
