(TALBOT, OR) - A northbound Portland & Western Railroad train carrying logs derailed Wednesday afternoon at a crossing on Marlatt Rd. just north of Talbot.

(SALEM) - Officials are on the scene of a possible explosive device near the rural community of Scotts Mills, Oregon. Salem-News.com's Jerry Freeman is on the scene at this time.

We know the location of the device is on Hwy 213 between Mt Angel Scotts Mills Road and Wagon Road NE. The area is cordoned off and officials are turning vehicles around.
