(ROME) - Netanyahu`s talk about war is hard and threatening. The Israeli papers spoke about the readiness of Netanyahu’s government to address a military strike to Iran while many analysts linked the fabricated American accusations made by Obama’s administration to the Islamic Republic of Iran to such a possible attack through the creation of a climate of tensions between Riyadh and Tehran.

Such a climate would then be exploited to ensure Saudi facilitations to the Israeli warplanes to target the Iranian nuclear facilities.

Has President Obama become a joke?

I am also wondering if Obama has any real grasp of the fact that largely because of his support for Israel right or wrong, America is becoming as isolated in the world as it is.

(LONDON) - Obama Last Saturday in his radio address to his own people and over the internet to those around the world who still think he is worth listening to, President Obama said, “This week we had two powerful reminders of how we've renewed American leadership in the world.”

That made me wonder which of the two d’s should be applied to him - duplicitous or deluded...

(LONDON BBC ) - An investigation has been launched into the death of a suspect in Dompe police station The Asian Human Rights Commission (AHRC) said it has documented nearly 100 cases of torture and killings in police custody. Panadura based Janasandaya has documented at least 100 more cases, AHRC's Basil Fernando told BBC Sandeshaya.

"There have been cases of torture victims describing their harrowing tales in youtube," he said.

Visiting Auschwitz

As non-Jews, our visit to Auschwitz was sobering. we cannot imagine what a visit must be for a Jew, especially someone who has lost family members at Auschwitz or at another concentration camp.

(SAN FRANCISCO) - Auschwitz camp watchtower (Photo by Judi Iranyi) We just returned from a tour of Central Europe. We visited Warsaw, Krakow, Budapest, Vienna, Bratislava, and Prague.

On our drive from Warsaw to Krakow, we stopped at the Auschwitz-Birkenau State Museum in Oswiecim, renamed Auschwitz when the town and the surrounding area were incorporated within the Third Reich.
