(MYRTLE BEACH, S.C.) - Oxycontin in Canada Purdue Pharma Canada (maker of OxyContin) made a "generous" donation to the QEII Pain Clinic in Halifax, Nova Scotia in the amount of $130,000. Their support of the treatment of chronic pain is because they claim one in five Nova Scotians suffer from chronic pain.

Contributions Behind Bill Passed in House to Expedite Keystone Pipeline Decision

The pipeline would run from Alberta, Canada to the Gulf of Mexico.

(BERKLEY, Calif.) - Keystone XL oil pipeline The U.S. House of Representatives on Tuesday passed a bill ( HR 1938) by a vote of 279-147 that would direct President Obama to expedite consideration and approval of the construction and operation of the Keystone XL oil pipeline.

The measure is supported by the American Petroleum Institute and the Association of Oil Pipe Lines, and opposed by environmental groups such as Friends of the Earth and the Natural Resources Defense Council.

Readers of The Wall Street Journal were alerted to the “collective punishment of all Israeli academics” in Dershowitz’s March 2011 dispatch “Norway to Jews: You’re Not Welcome Here.”

(TEGUCIGALPA, Honduras) - Five years ago, Israel waged a 34-day war on Lebanon that resulted in the elimination of approximately 1200 persons in the targeted country, most of them civilians, as well as 43 Israeli civilians.

In a July 2006 opinion piece for the LA Times, Alan Dershowitz placed the term “collective punishment” in quotation marks and announced the need for a “continuum of civilianality” to determine just how civilian Arab civilians were.

(COLOMBO ) - Torture Mr. Sathiyaseelan Jegadishan (24) of Sogana Upper Division, Pussellawa in the Nuwara Eliya District was illegally arrested and later tortured by officers of the Pussellawa Police Station on 2 June 2010.

His arrest is a violation of Sri Lanka Act number 22 of 1994 - the law adopted by the Sri Lankan parliament making torture a crime that can be punishable for minimum seven years and not less than ten years on being proven guilty.

DEA Digging In

Let’s demand that the federal government make drug policies based in sanity, not fear and hysteria.

(TRENTON, N.J.) - DEA out of control Recently, the DEA issued a ludicrously false statement claiming that marijuana "has no accepted medical use in the United States and lacks an acceptable level of safety for use even under medical supervision."

Since when is law enforcement qualified to issue medical opinions? What's worse, the DEA's stance makes them an obstacle to sound scientific research.
