(TORONTO) - Rohan Gunaratna The Canadian Tamil Congress (CTC) is suing Rohan Gunaratna for allegedly defamatory statements about the CTC in February 2011 to a newspaper published in Sri Lanka.

Gunaratna reportedly stated that the Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam (“LTTE”) is “operating in Canada under the name of Canadian Tamil Congress, which is the main LTTE front Organization in Canada.”

The two Australians were detained at Tel Aviv airport on Tuesday on orders from the Israeli Interior Minister when they said they intended to visit Palestine.
