(SALEM, Ore.) - Salem, Oregon house fire 12 May 2011 A residential fire broke out in a south Salem home on Croisan Creek Rd S. Thursday.

There were no injuries. However two people are reportedly displaced.

Dean Gushwa resigns after judge's finding of guilt for official misconduct.

(SALEM, Ore.) - Umatilla County District Attorney Dean Gushwa Umatilla County District Attorney Dean Gushwa was found guilty today of official misconduct and resigned.

Gushwa waived his right to a jury and was found guilty by Circuit Judge Gregory Baxter after a stipulated facts trial. Baxter sentenced Gushwa to 3 years probation, during which time he cannot hold public office.
