Officers Identified in Fatal Police Shooting

Police still haven't named the man who was shot to death.

(PORTLAND, Ore.) - Police line Portland Police have released the names of the officers involved in Sunday night's officer involved shooting that occurred in the closed down car wash along Southeast 82nd Avenue.

10-year veteran Jason Lile and 18-year veteran Larry Wingfield both fired at a male suspect who died from gunshot wounds.

Traffic Stop Leads to Arrest of Ohio Fugitive

The man was wanted for 25 counts of Rape out of Ohio.

(LAKEVIEW, Ore.) - Robert Michael Gebhardt An Oregon State Police (OSP) trooper's traffic stop Tuesday afternoon in the Lakeview, Oregon area led to the arrest of an Ohio fugitive wanted on multiple kidnap and sex crime offenses out of Cuyahoga County, Ohio.

According to Sergeant Steve Yates, on 4 January 2011 at approximately 3:00 p.m. OSP Trooper Scott Hill stopped a 2005 Chrysler PT Cruiser displaying Ohio license plates on Highway 395 near the Highway 140E intersection for a speed violation.

Newberg-Dundee Officer Involved in a Vehicle Crash

The officer involved in the crash has been identified as Anthony Obregon.

(NEWBERG, Ore.) - Crashed Newberg-Dundee Police car An officer of the Newberg-Dundee Police Department was involved in a crash Tuesday on Hwy 219 near Sitka. The officer was in uniform, driving a marked police car, and traveling Northbound on Hwy 219 when he reported observing a vehicle traveling Southbound without its head lights on.

The officer activated the emergency lights and attempted to make a traffic enforcement stop by performing a U-Turn at the Sitka intersection.
