(HARRISVILLE, N.H.) - Chris Dodd pushing for the Paycheck Fairness Act Yesterday, the Senate failed to pass the Paycheck Fairness Act. Sixty votes were needed to pass the bill but the vote fell two votes short at 58-41.

This bill would have taken a giant step in the right direction to level the compensatory playing field in the workplace.

McMinnville High School Campuses Burglarized - One Suspect Arrested

Vandalism and burglary are two of many pending offenses.

(McMinnville, Oregon) - Broken Window McMInnville High School McMinnville Officers responded to burglary reports at McMinnville High School at 615 NE Evans Street and the Media, Arts, and Communication Academy (MACA) at 1330 NE Cowls Street early this morning.

Surveillance video indicated the burglaries were committed by two males and that they started at 0200 this morning.

Suspicious Fire in Albany Vacant House

(Albany, Ore.) - Fire in Albany Oregon This morning at 2:06am the Albany Fire Department was called to a vacant house fire at 6061 Columbus ST SE.

The house at this address is the seventh suspicious house fire since late October; six vacant and one that had occupants. The house on Columbus was built in the late 1890's by the grandparents of the owner, Kent Chapman.

Jefferson Woman Unable to Lose Deputy - Ends up in Jail

(JEFFERSON, Ore.) - Maria Klaffke A 47-year–old Jefferson woman was arrested Wednesday afternoon after she continually drove away from a deputy who had stopped her three separate times for traffic violations.

Maria Klaffke was driving her 2000 Dodge Neon on Jefferson Highway when she entered the school zone in front of Jefferson Middle School at 3:15pm. Deputy Kevin Ely was parked at the school, conducting radar enforcement of the 20-mph school zone.

Four-Hour Search Ends With Arrest of Two Suspects

(SALEM, Oregon) - Larry Pilgram - Monte Whiteley A 40-year-old Oregon City man was arrested this afternoon following a four-hour foot-chase and a search of the forested area near Lyons.

Monte Whiteley and a friend were driving on Highway 22 near Wagner Road when a Marion County Sheriff's deputy tried unsuccessfully to stop their maroon 1990 Jeep Cherokee.
