Three Seriously Injured in Crash South of Prineville

State Police issue a warning about holiday winter driving.

(PRINVEVILLE, Ore.) - Rollover crash near Prineville, Ore. 12-23-09 Oregon State Police troopers are investigating a single vehicle rollover crash south of Prineville that resulted in serious injury to three people.

Investigators have not yet confirmed who was driving the vehicle.

Israeli Authorities Admit to Organ Harvesting

AMP renews call for investigation.

(PALOS HILLS, Ore.) - Israeli flag The former head of the Israeli Ministry of Health was to have testified before the Knesset today to answer questions that arose after an Israeli pathologist admitted he harvested organs from Palestinians and others without family consent.

In an interview made public last weekend on Israeli Channel 2, pathologist Dr. Yehuda Hiss admitted he harvested skin, corneas, heart valves and bones from the bodies of dead Palestinians, Israeli soldiers and foreign workers without permission in the 1990s.

(WASHINGTON D.C. ) - Kurt A. Gardinier The Marijuana Policy Project recently hired Kurt A. Gardinier to be the organization’s new director of communications. Gardinier joined MPP earlier this month and officially takes over the communications department from Bruce Mirken on Tuesday, December 22.

Gardinier is based in MPP’s Washington, D.C. office, and among other things will serve as an MPP spokesperson for radio, newspaper and TV interviews.

Pedestrian Struck while Crossing Street

The Washington County Sheriff's Office would like to remind drivers to slow down and be extra cautious while driving in congested areas.

(PORTLAND, Ore.) - Car vs. pedestrian in Portland, Ore. 12-22-09 Deputies responded to a report of a vehicle striking a person who was crossing the street. A woman was transported to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries, according to Sgt. Bob Ray, Washington County Sheriff's Office.

He says around 4:19 p.m., Sheriff's deputies responded to a report of a vehicle that struck a woman who was crossing SW Scholls Ferry Road close to SW Stephen Lane in the community of Raleigh Hills.

Syrians Hail Viva Palestina Convoy

A Hamas official said the convoy's launch is a crucial initiative to ending the Israeli siege into Gaza Strip.

(DAMASCUS, Syria WB) - Syrian welcome for Gaza Convoy The Viva Palestina Convoy, starting its journey from London to support the Palestinian people and break Israel's siege of Gaza Strip, arrived Sunday in Syria, passing through the Turkish border of Kilis in the southeast region of Turkey.

The car convoy, sent off by large crowds, was welcomed with great interest on the Syrian border. Senior Hamas officials, including Usama Hamdan, the representative in Lebanon, also participated in the welcoming ceremony in the country.

Fire in Canby Damages Home and Business

There were no injuries in the fire, but the home's contents were all badly damaged from smoke and heat, estimates are expected to exceed $100,000 to the home and its contents.

(CANBY, Ore.) - Damage to Canby home and business from 12-22-09 afternoon fire. Canby Fire was dispatched to a reported fire in a home located at 24451 S Central Point Road today at approximately 3:00 p.m. Fire agency Spokesman Troy Buzalsky, says the occupant called 911 indicating they have fire blowing out a window.

"Prior to Canby Fire's arrival the business owner attempted to extinguish the fire with both a fire extinguisher and a hose," Buzalsky said.

Washington Deputy Fighting For His Life After Shooting Ambush

The condition of Sgt Nick Hausnser has improved, but Deputy Kent Mundell suffered life-threatening wounds and remains critical.

(SEATTLE) - Sgt. Nick Hausner and Deputy Kent Mundell Two deputies in Washington were ambushed today as they responded to a family disturbance call in the town of Eatonville, about 30 miles south of Tacoma.

The law enforcement officers entered a home where two brothers were reportedly fighting. After they were invited inside by one bother, the second retrieved a gun from upstairs and began firing down, striking the two deputies.

McMinnville Man Clocked and Arrested for 100 MPH Reckless Driving

The suspect was arrested for Reckless Driving and transported to the Marion County Jail.

(SALEM, Ore.) - Photo from the Marion County Sheriff`s Office shows 100 MPH speed recorded on the patrol car`s radar unit, with the driver, Jebidiah Murphy, in the background. A deputy in Marion County says he observed a silver colored passenger car Monday traveling at an extremely high rate of speed, and turned on his radar.

He verified the speed of the vehicle at 100 miles per hour. Deputy Ryan Postlewait turned on his emergency lights and says he watched as the front end of the vehicle lowered toward the ground, which would indicate heavy braking.

(SALEM, Ore.) - Counterclockwise from top left: Harlan Cole, Matthew Coulter and Richard Tyler Marion County Sheriff's deputies responded to a disturbance call in the 2800 block of Lancaster Drive NE at 3:42 a.m. this morning, where they made contact with several people having a party in an apartment.

Lieutenant Sheila Lorance with the Sheriff's Office, says that as deputies were talking to people, they located a male subject inside the residence who had a large gash on the back of his head and was bleeding heavily.
