Critical Declaration by Almost all Palestinian Human Rights Organizations Against Palestine`s Leaders

Justice Delayed is Justice Denied: Decision of Palestinian Leadership and International Pressure an Insult to the Victims.

(GAZA CITY, Occupied Palestine) - Israeli attack on Gaza Yesterday, 2 October 2009, the Palestinian leadership – under heavy international pressure lead by the United States – deferred the draft proposal at the Human Rights Council endorsing all the recommendations of the UN Fact Finding Mission (the Goldstone Report).

This deferral denies the Palestinian peoples’ right to an effective judicial remedy and the equal protection of the law. It represents the triumph of politics over human rights. It is an insult to all victims and a rejection of their rights.

First Look at Afghan War Documentary (VIDEO)

A documentary in production will be highly educational about the war in Afghanistan.

(SALEM, Ore.) - A C-130 aircraft, HUMVEE and soldiers is a typical site in Afghanistan. It has been well over a year since I began working on a documentary about the war in Afghanistan. Now, thanks to a lost file turning up, I have recovered the first part of the program, which is located below.

It offers an idea of what I intend to produce in the coming months; an in-depth look at the American and Canadian and British troops who are engaged in the fighting there.

Typhoons, Earthquakes, Tsunamis, Forgotten Victims, and possible links to the spread of Agent Orange

A tough week – the Philippines, Indonesia, American Samoa, Laos, Cambodia, Thailand and of course, Vietnam.

(DA NANG, Vietnam) - Photo: Geoffrey Cain/IRIN At least 92 people were killed when Ketsana struck central Vietnam on Tuesday One thing amazes me during and after a natural disaster occurs – including those that have occurred in our own United States – has it ever occurred to anyone, or is it just me? Those that are mostly affected are those that need these disasters the least.

Not to minimize anyone on our planet, their resources, the destruction and devastation that they have experienced, but why is it that the poor, those that have been through so much, those who have to beg for a few Dong just to eat seem to be the most gravely affected? It’s been an impossible week for so many people, so many countries.

Are Right Wing Extremists Trying to Recruit Our Troops?

"We are in a battle for the hearts and minds of our own troops" - Direct quote from Oath Keepers

(CINCINNATI, Ohio) - Photo courtesy: thedonovan.com A few months ago there was a controversy that got just as much a radical reception from the right-wing as the tea parties and Fox news coverage of the never ending Health Care debate.

The controversy I'm really talking about is when the Director of Homeland Security, Janet Napolitano was pressured by right-wing talk radio commentators and other conservative mouth pieces like the American Legion, to apologize to America's Veterans and Troops for something that actually is a real threat.

British Baroness: Israel Committed War Crimes Against Gaza

"Both actions are against international law; they are war crimes. Many innocent civilians, many little children, have been killed by these obscenities." - British Baroness Jennifer Tonge

(SALEM, Ore.) - Children of Gaza "The Israeli Foreign Minister, said that Israel would go wild in Gaza. They certainly did that, with the USA turning its usual blind eye. The UK and the European Union have behaved so feebly they were almost colluding in Israel’s actions."

Some people believe that if women were in charge of this world, we would have far less bloodshed. I have no trouble believing that. British Baroness Jennifer Louise Tonge's sharp words over Israeli policy this week, could be considered a shining example of sound and honest motherly thinking in the whir of an ever spinning political vacuum.

PA Drops Pressure on UN to Act on Gaza Op Report

A source called the Palestinian decision not to push the report, "proof that Israel was right not to cooperate with the investigation and that it was a political tool that can be blocked through diplomatic activity," a source said.

(JERUSALEM Haaretz) - The Palestinian Authority yesterday decided to drop its draft resolution condemning Israel's conduct during the Gaza offensive last winter, in effect deferring its adoption of the Goldstone Commission report accusing Israel and Hamas of war crimes.

The PA had originally planned to present the draft to the Human Rights Council in Geneva for a vote planned for today. The decision not to pursue the resolution means that any similar effort will have to wait until at least March.
