Lejeune Breast Cancer Victims Not Supported by Corps

So much for Semper Fi from the Corps’ leadership.

(CAMP LEJEUNE, N.C.) - Marines The Marine Corps threw the male breast cancer survivors under the bus on Friday night. On Friday's Campbell Brown show, the spokesman for the Corps (a Major General no less) danced around the issue of causality for the Lejeune Marines with male breast cancer.

He had it wrong. The VA does not require total proof of a service connection cause to award a compensation and disability pension.

UN Security Council Says Security of Brazilian Embassy in Honduras Must be Ensured

Council members stressed the importance of respecting international law through preserving the inviolability of the Embassy.

(NEW YORK) - Ambassador Susan Rice The Security Council today stressed the need to ensure the security of the Brazilian Embassy in Tegucigalpa, where ousted Honduran President Jose Manuel Zelaya has taken shelter since his return to the country earlier this week.

This came after Brazil’s Foreign Minister, Celso Amorim, said that he was gravely concerned that the same people who had perpetrated the coup d’état in Honduras in June might threaten the Embassy’s inviolability to forcefully arrest Mr. Zelaya.

(TURNER, Ore.) - Turner Rural Fire District personnel attending to a 21-year old Eugene woman under the memorial marker to another crash victim at this same location. The Turner Police Department and the Turner Rural Fire Protection District responded to another one car injury crash in Condon’s Corners which is in the 6100 block of Turner Road SE.

Portland Man Dies in Motorcycle Crash at 148th and Glisan

Investigators say the 42-year-old man died from his injuries after arriving at the hospital.

(PORTLAND, Ore.) - Motorcycle rider dies Police say 42-year-old Curtis Rhodes of Portland, was killed while riding his motorcycle while southbound on 148th Avenue at Glisan Street when he lost control of his motorcycle. Investigators believe speed was a contributing factor in this accident. The crash happened today at approximately 10:45 a.m.

Portland Police officers arriving on the scene located a severely injured motorcycle rider that had apparently loss control of his motorcycle.

(BEND, Ore.) - Fatal crash Police say a 61-year old man was killed early Friday morning after his motorcycle crashed on Highway 20E approximately 28 miles east of Bend, Oregon.

Oregon State Police Sergeant Eric Brown, says early this morning at approximately 12:30 a.m., a 2008 Ducati motorcycle operated by a 61-year old man was driving eastbound on Highway 20 near milepost 28.
