Man Arrested for Salem Transient Camp Murder

The location appears to be a transient camp on Mill Creek.

(SALEM, Ore.) - Salem Police detectives made an arrest in the death of a man that was found in Mill Creek in southeast Salem Thursday night. Earlier today, officers arrested 47-year old Ben Stephens for the crime of Murder.

Joseph W. Hollander, Marion County Deputy District Attorney, says Salem Police responded to a report of a body Thursday, August 6, 2009 at approximately 10:09 p.m.

(SALEM, Ore.) - Salem Police have made an arrest in the disturbing March 15th triple Homicide that started out as a report of a fire in a building that evening, just before 7:00 p.m.

Salem Firefighters and police officers responded to a fire alarm at Myke's Custom Rod & Speed Shop located at 1375 Cross Street SE in Salem. While battling the fire, crews discovered the bodies of three people inside the business. Police investigators quickly released the news that they had been shot.
