Man Arrested for Salem Transient Camp Murder

The location appears to be a transient camp on Mill Creek.

(SALEM, Ore.) - Handcuffs Salem Police detectives made an arrest in the death of a man that was found in Mill Creek in southeast Salem Thursday night. Earlier today, officers arrested 47-year old Ben Stephens for the crime of Murder.

Joseph W. Hollander, Marion County Deputy District Attorney, says Salem Police responded to a report of a body Thursday, August 6, 2009 at approximately 10:09 p.m.

Salem Businessman Arrested in March 15th Triple Homicides

(SALEM, Ore.) - 41-year old Marty Wendt Salem Police have made an arrest in the disturbing March 15th triple Homicide that started out as a report of a fire in a building that evening, just before 7:00 p.m.

Salem Firefighters and police officers responded to a fire alarm at Myke's Custom Rod & Speed Shop located at 1375 Cross Street SE in Salem. While battling the fire, crews discovered the bodies of three people inside the business. Police investigators quickly released the news that they had been shot.

Army Concludes Staff Sgt. Maseth Died From Electrical Shock

There have been 18 reported deaths due to electrocution in Iraq since March 2003.

(WASHINGTON D.C.) - U.S. Army Staff Sgt. Ryan Maseth The Army announced today that the investigation into the tragic death of U.S. Army Staff Sgt. Ryan Maseth has been completed.

The extensive, eleven-month investigation conducted by the Army Criminal Investigation Command concluded that there is insufficient evidence to establish criminal culpability of any person or entity in the death of Staff Sgt. Maseth.

More Details Released in Recovery of Desert Storm Pilot Michael Speicher

A Bedouin who was 11-years old at the time of the crash and did not have direct knowledge of where Speicher was buried, but knew of other Bedouins who did.

(WASHINGTON D.C.) - Navy Capt. Michael The Navy announced today additional details regarding the recent discovery of the remains of Navy Capt. Michael "Scott" Speicher in Iraq.

The pilot was shot down flying a combat mission in an F/A-18 Hornet over west-central Iraq on Jan. 17, 1991, during Operation Desert Storm.

This is a joint Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) and Department of Defense (DoD) program that affords service members the opportunity to file claims for disability compensation up to 180 days prior to separation or retirement from active duty or full time National Guard or Reserve duty.

The more information the Veteran can get for him/her self, the greater the control over their claim. That applies to those who are filing their own claims and to those using the services of a Veterans Service Officer.
