Israeli Orders Palestinian to Demolish His Home or Face Penalty

The court said that if the man didn't tear his own home down, he would pay for demolition expenses and serve six months in jail.

(OCCUPIED JERUSALEM) - The Israeli district court in occupied Jerusalem has ruled that Adel Tamimi, a Jerusalemite, should knock down his own home in the Old City of Jerusalem.

Tamimi said in a statement, "How can I destroy the house in which I lived for 17 years with my own hands! Where will I go with my family? I have paid all fines with the hope of obtaining a construction permit but to no avail".

Two Burglaries Under Investigation in Santiam Canyon

Investigators aren't sure if the burglaries are connected.

(SANTIAM CANYON, Ore.) - Marion County Sheriff's Office responded to the report of a Burglary that had just occurred at the Sierra Restaurant and Market in Gates Wednesday around 4:00 a.m.

Lt. Sheila Lorance with the Marion County Sheriff's Office says the owner had been notified by his Security Company that an alarm had been activated at the Restaurant/Market and he called 9-1-1.
