Wife Finds Seriously Injured Husband Following Overnight DUII Crash Near Canby

Police say the man talked to his wife prior to 2:30 AM and was enroute home, after getting off work at a Canby-areas restaurant.

(CANBY, Ore.) - Crash near Canby, Oregon 12-29-08 A Portland-area man was found seriously injured by his wife Tuesday morning in a field near a church following an alcohol-involved overnight single vehicle crash along Highway 99E north of Canby.

Oregon State Police Recruit Trooper Dessa DeForest says around 7:15 AM, a report was received of a vehicle in an open field next to the Church of the Nazarene east of Highway 99E near E. Territorial Road.

"Police and fire personnel responded to the scene and found a 1990 Jeep Cherokee with a seriously injured male driver inside about 125 feet off the highway."

Oregon Guard Succeeds in Response to Multi-County Crisis (PHOTOS)

During the event, 47 Soldiers and Airmen used 10 Humvees to work with incident commanders in the counties to assist with fire, police, and humanitarian missions.

(SALEM, Ore.) - Oregon Guardmembers work with local firefighters and emergency responders in St. Helens, Oregon, Dec. 23rd Oregon National Guard Soldiers and Airmen answered the call to assist fellow Oregonians affected by the winter storm in Columbia and Multnomah Counties, December 20th through December 28th.

Oregon Emergency Management (OEM) is the coordinating state agency for resources during an emergency. Assistance is requested from OEM by counties when they have exhausted resources at the local level.

When the request was made by the counties, OEM utilized National Guard assets to fulfill the counties needs.

Woman Evacuated From Flooded Area in Coquille, Oregon by Coast Guard

The woman was taken to a waiting ambulance at the North Bend Airport and transported to Bay Area Hospital in North Bend.

Medical Marijuana Bad?: Oregonian Newspaper Good? PART ONE

(MOLALLA, Ore.) - anandamide metabolism The Oregonian newspaper seemingly has NOT been able to print even a neutral article about medical marijuana users or the whole shebang even though they know that over 22 thousand Oregon patients have permits approved by 3 thousand doctors.

I have been their target of abuse even though I was completely cooperative with them for a dozen or more stories. The final straw was when The Oregonian printed that “(Dr. Leveque) is a danger to all of his patients and the public in general”.

If they had an ounce of veracity claimed by journalists they knew this was totally false. They can’t find one person of my 4 thousand patients whom I have harmed. There wasn't one.

(HONG KONG) - Deng Xiaoping in 1979 A former top aide to late ousted Chinese Communist Party chief Zhao Ziyang has written a stinging attack on Deng Xiaoping, who is credited with launching China on the path to economic reform 30 years ago this month, Radio Free Asia (RFA) reports.

Bao Tong, under house arrest at his Beijing home since completing a seven-year prison term in the wake of the 1989 pro-democracy movement, published his personal reminiscences of Deng in six parts to mark the 30th anniversary of China’s reforms.

“Deng’s two-sidedness was like a pendulum,” wrote Bao, whose voice is never heard publicly now in China, and whose essay was published in response to a wave of official eulogies for Deng and the economic reforms he permitted to take root.

However, after several deaths from TCE contaminated well water, legislation required the Navy and Marine Corps to contact veterans of Camp Lejeune regarding the TCE contamination of base wells.

The Defense Department owns 133 EPA Superfund sites, the most of any entity.

Millions of Americans live near military Superfund sites. Errors Involving Chemotherapy Medications Common in Outpatient Cancer Treatment

A study indicates that among the 7 percent of medication errors involving adults, 55 had the potential to harm the patient and 11 did cause harm.

(WASHINGTON, D.C.) - Chemotherapy drugs Seven percent of adults and 19 percent of children taking chemotherapy drugs in outpatient clinics or at home were given the wrong dose or experienced other mistakes involving their medications, according to a new study supported in part by HHS’ Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality through its Centers for Education and Research on Therapeutics program.
