Palin the Wolf Killer (VIDEO)

A wildlife group is forcefully opposing efforts by Governor Palin and her Board of Game to arbitrarily kill even more wolves just to boost game populations for out-of-state hunting interests, and to shine the national spotlight on Governor Palin’s brutal wolf-killing programs and pressure her to end them.

(SALEM, Ore.) - Roger Schlickeisen (left) reintroducing wolves in Yellowstone I'm the first person to admit that numbers have to be balanced when it comes to deer and elk and other animals; otherwise we would be plowing into them with our cars and that certainly doesn't benefit anyone.

But the animal elimination taking place in Palin country, also known as Alaska, may come to represent what could be the bloodiest aerial wolf killing season yet in Alaska.

Seriously, is there some kind or accomplishment in gunning down animals from a helicopter? My dad always talked about creatures having a "fighting chance" and that is missing here.

Taliban Activity Surges to New Levels in Afghanistan

As Americans spend hundreds of billions fighting the war in Iraq, the picture in Afghanistan grows more dismal.

(SALEM, Ore.) - Oregon National Guard soldiers on patrol in Kabul, Afghanistan Afghanistan's former finance minister says the country is in a political, economic and social crisis. Ashraf Ghani Ahmadzai calls the Afghan government "one of the five most corrupt governments in the world".

Taliban activity has been heavy only thirty miles from Kabul, in Wardak province, which lies just 30 miles from the Afghan capital of Kabul, right on the main highway. The AP reports that Taliban fighters in Wardak province are taking over district centers, setting up checkpoints on rural highways, and capturing Afghan soldiers.

Approximately 75% of America's war assets go toward Iraq, with 25% going to Afghanistan and other conflicts. That is sad as we stand a chance, hopefully still, to make a difference in this country as we should have after the defeat of the Soviet Union in 1989.

Historical Continuity

To translate information from past to present with any degree of accuracy, one must be a student of cultural differences and human nature in addition to relying on Psychic Continuity to determine his conclusions.

(PASO ROBLES, Calif.) - Flag and cross Historical facts must be substantiated by no less than three pieces of corroborative evidence. But, this criterion alone could verify what is patently untrue because historical evidence might accidentally, or on purpose, be distorted. The current construction of the Bush-legacy is an example of historical manipulation to re-write history in his favor.

Psycho-history is a more comprehensive approach to understanding the past that does not reject old values, but neither does it ignore the psychic-continuity of man. Historians, in addition to their proprietary tools, use those of compatible disciplines that allow for circumstantial, or real possibilities that logically lead to what seems a more likely scenario; subject always to later more enlightened revision.

Israel Drew First Blood Against Hamas (VIDEO)

The current offensive began eight days after a six-month truce between Israel and the militants expired. Most media sources report that the Israeli's are responding to the attacks and at some point that becomes true, but the bloodshed taking place right now was provoked by Israel, not Hamas.

(SALEM, Ore.) - Mayhem in Gaza Western media sources are reporting that the Israeli attack on the Gaza Strip is a response to Palestinian militants firing some 300 rockets and mortars at Israeli targets over the past week. A closer examination of facts however, reveals that the initial incident that shattered the fragile truce was not the work of Palestinians.

Israel brands Hamas as a "terrorist group" and that assessment is probably accurate, but that conclusion has been reached while Israel itself stands in major violation of the world's nuclear treaties.
